Methinks you have watched Kung Pow a little tooooo often - sweet susie. Such a funny film. I watched it with my son and we were both in floods of tears. Thanks for the reminder - must watch again.. Oh yeah, enjoyed your video too. Evan remembers the high heat material after all the moulds are done. Kinda like the old topic ad (if you ever had topic bars over yonder) "Oh yeah, it's funny how you always remember right at the end". Topic, a hazlenut in every bite. Oh god. It's 3:30 am. I'm ranting. I'm tired. Good night ... sweet susie. I'm gonna be dreaming of kung pow now. Cheers (Heads off upstairs giggling)

There were many times where I recognized the add-in musics.
Tell me... have you used the music from the arcana romance stories?
Sorry if it isnât true...Iâm a dedicated the arcana interactive romance story --- I can remembered like every song from it. Sorry if Iâm just making wrong assumptions from mere repeating coincidences.
But itâs good for you if you like the idea of tarots!
*Iâm not sponsored btw good taste in music bye*â€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïž
Haha I thought from the beginning of this you were going to say children đ Iâm just slightly disappointed-
Why do I relate to Evan so much when he said âsurprise meâ but then asked for something specific? Itâs like when I hit shuffle on a playlist and then skip until the song I actually wanted comes on.
Yes! I do a variation on this when making a decision. Flip a coin, then super quick, ask myself if I'm happy with the result. Accept or ignore the coin toss, 'cause I now know what I *really* like/want. Works ninety percent of the time, all the time! âșïž

Sassy Squad cause I read it when he said surprise me I thought it was kinda funny
I can agree to this because I ask, "Should I do this or this?" and they pick one then I'm like, " No pick this one"
These two are the cutest couple... honestly might be the closest thing Iâve seen to soulmates. The way they arenât afraid to be themselves with each other is beautiful and this is the future I wantđ

Ghostly plays I agree lol đ đ
I don't know why but seeing Evan and Katelyn bond and have fun not only as a husband and wife but also as little kids is so fun and nice to watch. I also love seeing them not argue over anything and just relax and not be tense where other couples and partners fail under pressure is nice and refreshing to see.
Get a biscuit cutter (cookie cutter you'd call it) and cut the spud (potato) with the gingerbread man shape. Then make some gingercrete people.
That'd be awesome, good idea!

Yes to this!

Everyone : use mold release
Evan and Katlen: I know we should but we never learn
and a year latter still haven't
Three years later: still the same
What's the brand for mold release, can't see it properly at 10:59
Maybe you could slip cast the mold with clear resin first to form a barrier between the other materials you use to fill them. Might even look ghostly to have the colours set inside the 'gem'.
ooooo that's a really interesting idea!
I was just thinking a similar thing, slip cast with a thin layer of colored resin and then fill with concrete.
Now I want a vacuum former! That thing is awesome!
it's so dang fast and satisfying!
Vincent Ferrari riiiight ..!!
U can easily make one they are so cool
@@brady_bauer2518 what how
They are EXPENSIVE
"We still have like two and a half potatoes left" -- that's so great. -- Next time someone panics at work, I'm going to say that to calm them down (with zero explanation). -- Also, "(E+K)/Potato" was pretty great.
hahaha!! it will most likely diffuse the situation ;P
maybe in a few years E&K will be showing us some tater "tots" LOL
truly this is my new favorite youtube channel
thank you so much! â€ïžâ€ïž
You could try adding the dry concrete as an additive to the resin, so it doesn't have to cure also. That way, it is like a resin pour that can mix better because the water won't be repelling the resin.
Ooooo that's a really good idea! Would be so fun to try!
@@EvanAndKatelyn Problem:
Concrete needs water to cure. On a chemical level, the cement needs water to cure.
16:30 is my favorite one!! đ
Yall should do them again but without the cement and make crystal clusters!
Use the same idea of the potatoes but just cut them so they are flush together and appear to be 'touching' so when you do the plastic mold cover it'll look like it's a cluster of Crystal's!
Thats a really cool idea!
Reminder!
This was a really cool idea! I think your smaller ones turned out better. My favorite is the small purple and gold one.
I was really excited when I saw that vacuum former, thinking it might be reasonably priced for its size. Spoiler alert: it is not. Back to the DIY plan!
Why is this couple legit the most adorable đđ
đâ€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïž
I love how you guys always have good music :)
Thank you! We try!
Hey so if you can turn potatoes into gems... I could finally be a precious gem! :o
Way more honest than t.v.
we do our best to keep it real
That mold maker is awesome! I could really use it right now lol...
I'm kinda surprised that only one gem broke with mixing the resin and concrete(I don't know the cure time for the concrete). Because, the concrete was mixed with water and resin and water don't usually play well with each other.
That may be the reason why K's half resin and half concrete broke. Since the resin was cured before the concrete didn't have much of anything to adhere with.
I think if you were to take a low grit of sandpaper to the first layer, the concrete would have an easier time bonding together.
Great video as always!!!-
It's SO fun! Yeah definitely a lot of lessons learned in this video but thankfully the stakes weren't super high and it was fun to experiment đ
EvanAndKatelyn you should try it with wood, aluminum honeycomb, shredded money, steel and copper shavings, and so much more.
The one thing that was really surprising to me was that it didn't look like you had any bubbles!!! How fast does the concrete set? That may be the reason why the two interacted good together.
We have the technology
WE HAVE THE POTATOES

Oh yea! Potato squad!! đ

Congratulations on your Makyu! I've been tossing around the idea of getting one for some time now! I feel like someone could easily make a business just using Makyu/Glowforge/x-carve!
Good video!
Thank you!! Yeah that would be an awesome trifecta for making products :D
Have you had a chance to try the high temp sheets yet? What is the Temp limit on those?
âIs it art yet?â Bahaha!

You guys are just the best! I've been struggling with a lot lately and even doing things I enjoy like woodworking have been difficult. Watching you guys has helped me a lot and have given me more motivation to make things!
Thank you, that really means a lot to hear! I think sometimes you just need a fun low pressure project where it's ok if things mess up (kinda like this one) to get the juices flowing :) Best of luck!
The most important thing I took away from this is that Katelyn requires more sag than Evan
what's sag?

I didn't know there was a professional version of the thing the "sharpest knife" guy did with his vacuum sealer and a heat gun.
Yeah! Lots of DIY and professional versions out there
Great video you two! I love all the resin videos you guys are making. These would be really neat being full resin and then put an LED in the bottom and just leave the wires hanging out. Would be really cool lights at night. And really easy to make. Iâd love to see this in a future video!
That would make for really cool nightlights!
Love your enthusiasm. Great job guys.

Hey Evan, Hey Katelyn.
Can you please try cold molding? In case you dont know: mixing a metal power (like Iron powder) in a 1to1 ratio to resin and cast it. I think a rusted Coldmolded object would work GREAT with Concrete. I hope you like this Idea! Keep on with your nice work :)
Greetings :)
Irish Wristwatch
Thatâs a very interesting idea đ
We actually did try that once on Punished Props channel but we'd love to do it on our own! It's so cool!
Cold casting is as far as I know, coating the inside of the mold with metal powder and then pour the resin in. Black resin is a good base and you can additionally mix in some metal powder. But you need fine metal powders to prevent sinking.
i have only seen that with coating the mold with powder and pouring black resin, i guess that uses less powder but then there is only a thin layer
@@extreamemineing also A good idea!!
