We even trained on how to use their rifles in case we ever needed to pick one up on the battlefield.

I'm a korean american and I love all your videos. Ive watched so many and as a military enthusiast it really makes me happy to see all these videos of N.Korean military personnel doing food and of them watching American Firepower. HOWEVER, you really really need someone to properly relay the information correctly WITH the correct subtitles. There are many english/korean bilinguals around the world and definitely in S.Korea but it seems you guys are just typing korean text into google translate and just copy and pasting whatever it spits out. On top of that, the information about the weapons systems shown in "real videos" are not being properly articulated and its giving the interviewees misinformation and its also annoying the audience.
You have a great channel and this channel can grow even larger but these are little things that need to change if you want the channel to grow larger. People wont continue to watch if the subtitles are so incorrect and theres so much misinformation in it as well.

If she had given the numbers on the thing and described what it does, it would have been more horrifying. Also, some of those shots are just anti-missile chafe. The tactical pattern the US has used in most places in recent years: 1. take out air defense and radar with stealthy bombers and tomahawks flying 15 ft. above the treeline. 2. a few days later, send in limited troops to educate locals for the resistance and bomb the hell out of military installations. 3. Send in A-10's and AC-130's to support the local resistance, bomb as needed.

This comment should be pinned to the top of this video.
There aren't any missiles (rocket powered, in the sense of militaristic applications), and the lack of description for the weapons on this platform are probably non-existent regarding his questions. If they did describe it to him, it's most likely ill explained or even just flat out false.
That aircraft is a flying apocalypse for anything on the ground, and there simply isn't much anything on the ground can do about it. The fact that he doesn't understand or know those are flares or anti-missile chafe is interesting. Either NK just doesn't train their air force well (was he an actual pilot or administrative some other officer), or their equipment is just so obsolete that they don't properly equip their aircraft. It's probably both, but I think you're doing a disservice to your channel and your interviewees by not properly informing them of the content you're showing them to offer commentary. If you want to demoralize a ground force then the AC130 and the A-10 are two very good ways of doing that, and it seems like a lot of that was missed in this video.

At 6:58, those are not guided missiles, they are flares used to help the plane avoid guided (heat seeking in this case) missiles. A heat seeking missile follows a heat source, usually the engine exhaust, which is the hottest part of the plane. If a heat seeker is chasing you and you shoot a bunch of flares, it confuses the missile, which now sees dozens of heat sources instead of just your plane. The missile will likely chase one of the flares instead of chasing you.

I served in the Air Force from '68 to '72, including a voluntary tour in Vietnam in '69-70, and even what we had then would have given them pretty much all they could stand and then some. And, that was a drop in a bucket to what is flying in today's Air Force. Keep'em Flying, Guys!!!

I wish they would explain to him that those "missiles" were actually "chaff" used to confuse heat-seeking missiles. The yellow from behind the artillery unit is to protect the troop from being hit by the barrel blowback, not to stop the round from coming backward. Lastly, Stealth planes don't defeat radar because they are so fast. Stealth functions in 3 ways, by scattering the radar waves away from the source, 2nd with radar absorbing surfaces, and 3rd, tactically. Radar jamming planes are deployed with stealth aircraft. By jamming they reduce the radar's effective range, thus, allowing the stealth aircraft to fly in and out of the reduced coverage of multiple deployed radars.

Technically any projectile lobbed at the enemy is a "missile", including a stone, an arrow, a spear, or a bullet. The word has been in the English language since the early 1600s, and is derived via French from the Latin word for something that has been sent. The usage that is common now is relatively new, so perhaps a computer translation was unable to distinguish between old and current usage.

The AC-130 wasn't designed for speed or stealth. It's a flying tank designed to absolutely annihilate ground targets with a combination of missiles, artillery fire, and automatic cannons. In a conflict with North Korea, these would be deployed once the North Korean airforce is neutralized, giving it them a monopoly on the airspace to clean up armored forces (these can chew through any tank formation North Korea could hope to deploy at virtually no risk to itself).

The problem with a suicidal enemy isn't that they are hard to defeat, its that they are hard to beat without committing genocide in the process.
Japan was ready to basically die down to the last child rather than surrender and it took nuclear weapons to break their spirit.
And the Taliban lose over a hundred men for every soldier they kill, its around 3000 to 1 if you only count Coalition soldiers. But the military is already killing them faster than they are actually allowed to. If the US army was allowed to just wipe them out, coud probably get the 30 to 40 million dead needed in just a few years.
Because you can't just kill the initial members, you also have to kill everyone militized by the initial killings, then kill everyone upset to the point of violence by the subsequent large numbers of dead people. So 30 to 40 million dead total to defeat the talisman seems about right.
Of course that would be called a war crime.
Hopefully in N. Korea's case, their fanatism could be cured by offering them a steak dinner in exchange for surrender.
