when i hiked the abel tasman years ago i booked one of the campsites normally just visited by kayaks for a break or an overnight stay and what can i say. i was the only one on the site after tea time and had the, in my opinion, most beautiful and most quiet place in the world for myself the whole late day, night and morning. Still my happy place.

I lived in NZ for six years and made a point to do as much exploring as possible. So I can already make a top ten list (north to south) before even watching this video.

Ok so I scored 6/10 and I would have mentioned Hobbiton, but I lived there before LOTR. So now we just have to get the narrator to pronounce a few place names correctly, as well as how to say the word "Māori" ;-)

One of my favourites is Lake Tekapo in the South Island. There is something magical about Lake Tekapo that is hard to describe until you actually go there and feel it.
I live in Auckland New Zealand and am 5 to 10 minutes from a beach. My favourite is Piha's black sand beach. Amazing surf.

Oh hella no i live in Auckland aswel and Piha beach is dangerous is looks beautiful though but isn't family friendly. Waiheke Island 🏝 has the best beaches in Auckland!
Piha looks nice, but is dangerous most beaches on the west coast are dangerous. Its a nice beach in terms of Auckland but the best beaches in New Zealand are up North hands down

I went skiing on Mt. Ruapehu when I was there in New Zealand. I didn’t know it was Mt. Doom of LOTR. I’ve been dreaming of visiting each film sites of LOTR. Didn’t know I was able to go to Mt. Doom already, if I knew I would have taken more memorable snaps. 😃 But it’s ok. I’ll do it the next time I visit NZ. 😁

I liked new zealand . Went their 30 years ago to Wellington to visit cousins their where they took us to an adventure park in one of the towns that had dodgem cars, roller coasters and canoes and a big pirate ship and castle. Which was fun.

Kiwi here, another cool place to go to in the North Island which I have visited is the Wai-O-Tapu Park in Rotorua, If you visit you might also be able to go to Rainbow springs which has animals and Skyline for the luge, the Jelly belly shop and the sky swing. I love all of those places in Rotorua!

Great places to visit. FYI most names are not pronounced correctly, places may be tricky I am not Kiwi either but it is easy to look up Māori and pronounce that (more) correctly at least.
