I got that reel myself, just love it. Zero problems..
Mine full at 7.1 to 1 has a 36" ipt. They measure the ipt at full spool. I measured my reels ipt with a tape neasure. So my lexa at half dpool would fall off to 28" ipt. My tranx 20p 8. 5 to 1 has same ipt as my 7.1 to 1 lexa 300.
I guess you got the low gear version the 5,3:1 and also you need a full spool to achieve a good number!
I have the prorex TWS 400 it's the perfect reel for big baitcasting and my rod is up to 16oz =400g
I have also the TWS 200 of 6,4:1 but I think it's a bit fast for big pike !
Only at summer temperatures it fit well. Big pike are slow and lazy because they are old ladys....
So fill upp your spool 99% whit 120Lbs and that's what they made it for....
The TWS 400 has the 5,3:1 and says 71cm and I have not checked but it feels correct my spool is hard packed whit 130Lbs or 0.49mm black braid and it's just perfect for that reel. Best regards from Team Saida of Sweden 🇸🇪

I have the lexa tws 300. Bit heavy but it's a beast.
Gee it's good enough for Larry Dahlberg. You actually have a stronger reel since high retrieve equals weaker gears. Want faster, reel faster....

Inge fel på rullen spola på med lina hela vägen upp, om du fyller upp linan till kanten & Daiwas spole är ca 43mm i diameter då har du en omkrets på 135mm x utväxlingen 5,3 = ca 71cm
I ditt fall ser man att det långt kvar upp till kanten & räknar man bakifrån 49cm / 5,3 då gar du en omkrets på 93mm & linas diameter är ca 30mm & det ser ut att kunna stämma med din video

Ett vevtag är flera varv på spolen (därav utväxling). Din uträkning stämmer bara om man snurrar ett varv på spolen 👍🏻 Spolen snurrar lika mycket oberoende av lina på den.
@@TackleCrew ett varv på veven då snurrar spolen 5,3 varv eller hur? , det betyder att där spolen är som grundast säg 15mm i diam då har har en omkrets på 47mm x 5,3 varv = 25cm/vevtag & när du har fyllt spolen säg till 30diam då får du in 49cm/ vev tag & när du fyller spolen hela vägen till 42mm då får du in 71cm/vevtag

Du har rätt i dina resonemang ( jag har inte kontrollerat dina beräkningar men utgår ifrån att de stämmer) .
Nu vet jag inte hur företagen bestämmer hur mkt lina rullarna tar in i verkligheten men att ange hur mkt lina en rulle plockar in när spolen är fylld upp till bredden är ju helt orelevant för när spolen är fylld till max så kan man inte veva in sitt bete mer.
Förstår du hur jag menar ?? Det är mer relevant att veta hur mkt lina rullen tar in när man har 50-60 meter lina ute.
5:3:1 är ju antal spolvarv per vevtag. Men det säger ingenting om hur mkt lina rullen tar in i verkligheten.

I think you are wrong, 1 full turn of the handle = 5.8 (or 6.8 etc...) revolution of the spool witch when full equals X cm not the opposite.
@@TackleCrew Of course, the amount of line on the roll is important. This is basic math. Repeat from elementary school the circumference of a circle. Just one example for you. If spool have diameter 4cm, it will be 66,6cm of line per one handle evolution in reel with 5.3:1 ratio. If diameter of spool is 5cm it will be 83,2cm.
100% the spool full will retrieve more line per handle turn. Even the end of your cast will retrieve less line than when your bait is close to you. Especially when you have large diameter line.

Diawa is notorious for doing things like this. Their marketing team does a great job at sorta fudging the specs on their reels. Some reels say it has a set of beefed up gears on HD models when they are the same on as the standard models. They rebrand reels with different marketing strategies to get people to buy the “New line of reels and you crack them open and they are identical. The will do the same with reels line capacity by changing the line diameter specs like using 12lb test instead of 14lb test to make it look like a deeper spool. I hate these marketing tactics they use to rebrand a reels platform like the Limited Edition Steez that is no different than a regular Steez and they charge you &100 more for it when the only difference is the markings on the reels or different paint. Diawa is the king of smoke and mirrors. Do they make good products? Absolutely but I don’t like the way they try to get every cent of the consumers money. It’s just nonsense

You have to fill the spool
