Now that I have seen this video I think I will remove and see how well it will install. BTW my rifle was very close to being zeroed. a couple quick adjustments and I was drilling my targets dead on. I used 62 grain federal green tip.
On my m70 its a pain the first time to remove, i got a string and put it through the hole to give me leverage but then it is easy as butter to remove, just make sure you shove it back in its slit or it will come out as i found out

Hey Rob, I doubt you would ever ask for donations since you are awesome... but you could crowd-source ammo from us loyal viewers for the 5000 round tests. If we all contribute say 20 or 100 rounds, the problem evaporates real friggin quick. :) Love this channel - rock on Rob!
I'm surprised I'm not seeing more AK's offered in 5.56.
I bought a Zastava ZPAP85 Tactical from Atlantic, looking forward to putting my own spin on a Krinkov.
Been waiting for this!!!! Can’t wait. The cleaning rod isn’t meant to be on rifle..it’s to long with all 3 pieces and to short otherwise. If y’all want the cleaning rod look, have to use regular akm cleaning rod.
The M90 looks like a winner but for $1200+ I’m less excited about it. At current prices I’m in for a POF or LWRC DI rifle for similar cost.
A regard on the polish mags. I myself purchased them as well and I had to mill the lip that locks into the thumb release. After milling it fits and cycles fine.
I use the polish mags on my vepr 223 and they work great once I found down the lip for the thumb release. I'm wondering if the zastava mags will work on the vepr.
Anyone who thinks what happened was just a negative consequence and not the ULIMATE GOAL is poorly mistaken.
This was intentional. And they will come from the south ;)
Don't forget guys that monarch ammo (academy sports brand) is just repackaged Barnaul ammo!
Nothing in politics is a mere coincidence.
"Biden waived the requirement that Afghans be tested for coronavirus before they board planes to the U.S. Elected Republicans and Democrats allowed the administration to make such changes with only 46 House Republicans opposing the move."
"Already, at least ten Republican governors have joined Democrat governors in their requests for the Biden administration to resettle Afghans in their states. States, counties, and local communities no longer have veto power over refugee resettlement after Biden canceled former President Trump’s executive order that granted such powers."
"Over the last 20 years, nearly a million refugees have resettled in the nation, more than double the residents living in Miami, Florida. Annually adding the population of Pensacola, Florida, would achieve the same growth."
"Refugee resettlement costs American taxpayers nearly $9 billion every five years, according to research, and each refugee costs taxpayers about $133,000 over the course of their lifetime. Within five years, an estimated 16 percent of all refugees admitted will need housing assistance paid for by taxpayers."
@Dan Trebune How do you suggest I do that? Sounds more like a cope. Taxes are automatically withdraw from my paycheck. I am a working class guy, not member of the wealthy ruling class who can get away with never paying their fair share while being total parasites.
@@railfanningpoints2.045 9 bil over five years is nothing compared to many other ways the US government pisses away our money
Absolutely love this gun as it’s my new favorite in my collection. She shoots so well with very little recoil impulse and has the range because of the 5.56 ammunition.
While ammo might be available for it, the demand for 223/556 is also just going to go through the roof as well. The AK is a good platform, but what made the AK a great platform in America was the availability and price of it's ammo.
Just got a zpap M85 and love it.
Just put one on layaway. Can't wait to pay it off.
I sold my m70ab2 awhile back and kept my wood furniture with the civil war trench art.
I'll need to get a butt stock tho.
I received my M90 last month, I ordered mine the first day they were available from Atlantic Firearms. My rifle had the cleaning rod installed on the rifle, I use a different cleaning rod when I clean my rifle so I never tried to remove it. It does feel very tight does not move easily. Now that I have seen this video I think I will remove and see how well it will install. BTW my rifle was very close to being zeroed. a couple quick adjustments and I was drilling my targets dead on. I used 62 grain federal green tip.
On my m70 its a pain the first time to remove, i got a string and put it through the hole to give me leverage but then it is easy as butter to remove, just make sure you shove it back in its slit or it will come out as i found out
Try some 193, if you think it is accurate now...
@@HansBelphegor I have three boxes left, I think I will try some this weekend thanks.
I loike it. Great video as always
Hey Rob I'm pretty sure the cleaning rod is getting hung up on the heat shield in the Hogue hand guard when pushing it thru. I couldn't get mine to clear thru it either. Was going to take off the hand guard and inspect it but haven't got around to it just yet.
Good stuff.
I am lucky to have one of the old M85's with the adapter in the magwell. Fun gun!
Keep up the good work💪💪👍👍
It's been tough, Rob. Just got a KR103 two weeks ago that is my new favorite rifle, I have about 1,500 rounds so hopefully I can conserve them until ammo is available again.
I feel you. I've only shot my KR-103 a few times and now this.
Is anyone else hoping that American ammo makers will pick up the slack?
Market vacuum will always be filled but I'd expect it to take some time and never be the same price
@@snaker9er I'm hoping it is at least comparable to 5.56 in the future.
@@snaker9er In the meantime the 70's-80's corrosive Yugo ammo packs seem to be floating around again. Not cheap, but available.
@@edwardsanromani1140 I'm sure they will. Also Yugo factories are gearing up already so I read.
I picked up a braced pistol version about 6 months ago & couldn't be happier with my little fireball thrower.
Get a flash hider for it.
@Dan Trebune
It has a krink-style booster on it...I like the fireball. 🤙
Yes l love my AKOU VIDEOS EVEN IF ROB FIRES THE 5.56 DOWN RANGE. I STEAL NEED A RIFLE IN 5.45 or 5.56...another great video ROB !!!.
really looking forward to an accuracy test with quality brass ammo.
Rob, the Plum 5.45 mags with Pod Arms 556 Followers, They Are the Best Fit of ALL for the ZM90.tested them today (4 different mags). They worked Flawlessly
So far I like mine. Accurate and reliable

Never saw the point in a 5.56 AK, well, I just ordered one of these and plan to sell my PSA AK-103 tomorrow. 7.62x39 will return and be affordable again, but it will take a few years for production to ramp up. For now my only 7.62x39 will have to be my CZ-527. Pity too as I really like that round. On the bright side, I was looking into an adjustable gas block for use with my PBS-1 Wolverine and this gun comes with just that. :)
I was lucky enough to get a Vepr in 5.56 with a definitive arms mag well adapter to accept AR mags.
My state banned almost all AKs, so this is my first AK buy. I’m going out to stores today to see if I can find one.
Good luck lol
@@gavinhimebauch2054 actually picked one up today. It’s a really nice rifle.
$1293 plus shipping. Also the price of a case of 7.62x39 today.
We were looking at one of these on Saturday to ‘diversify our portfolio’... Ended up getting a SOCOM 16 instead.
There's much better M14 pattern rifles than SA.
Those green polish mags run great in my SLR 106U. They seem to be quality mags.
Zastava came out with a scope mount for the M70/90. How about a review of the mount?
I know it’s an AK but that tool mangled my front sight assembly on my M70. I had to use a brass punch eventually to move the drum.
Time to buy one
6.5 might be a good replacement; serbia already imports at a decent price, fits Ar 7.62x39 magazines, and ive seen a few off the shelf ak's in it.
tarkov should make a character based off you lol would be sick
Zastava recommends 200 rounds on setting 3 for break in.
Thanks Zastava!!!!!!!
huh. a 5.56x45 AK that actually looks kinda awesome. i hope it fairs well on the test.
Glad I have a 84s, but these were tempting before, now I'm sure they will be hard to find
@Brian Hess yeah they didn't seem to make more then a few hundred it looks like. Mine is an underfolder with a type 1 bayo too. Matches my very early double stamped 85w in 7.62.
