Hi Jenny. My layout is DC, and whilst the DC option is attractively packaged and the self adhesive backing is an advantage there is a considerable price premium (x2) over buying standard pre wired LED's (20p each), sticky pads and some SPST switches (80p each). I've also overcome the brightness issue by adding in some Buck converters DC to DC (£8 for a pack of 5) which allows easy brightness adjustment over each lighting circuit irrespective of the number of LED's on it.
wonderful building
I love DCC controlled lighting!!
Great video, I've ordered mine please wish me luck.
Thank you for another wonderful video Jenny and everyone
A very useful video. I’ve been pondering how best to install lighting on my layout, and this for me is the answer. Thanks for putting the video together!
Thanks for this video - it just arrived as I am looking at lighting a layout. Could this system be used for street/platform lights as well ? If so how would this be done ?
wow that's brilliant thank for that I was looking at the DCC concepts site on TMC site and skimmed over them as I didn't know what they are for !!! now thanks to you I do
Great idea this, I really need to get some lights on my layout...
Thank you. Great timing as I’m almost at the point of applying lighting to the layout. Is there a way to put a timer onto the circuits, such that without intervention, lights (in buildings) could be set to switch on and off?
