Hot spring episodes can pretty much be categorized with beach episodes
@@tenacity2633 Oh no my friend. While Beach Episodes and Hot Springs Episodes are the 2 most common mediums for Fan-Service, they otherwise serve entirely separate functions. Beach episodes typically occur earlier in the story arc as a means of taking the characters, particularly introverted ones, out of their regular setting, allowing supporting characters to display qualities they otherwise would not have an opportunity to, and helping the main characters learn about each other. This improves group cohesion and can adjust the direction of character and relationship arcs. Hot springs episodes typically happen toward the end of the story arc, and are often more sedate. This is where the characters can express doubts, learn secrets or out-of-context information, and generally complicate relationships. This serves to create dramatic tension prior to the denouement of character and relationship arcs. (I'm making broad generalizations, of course.)

@@anselmvondahl2881 and in a *"Beach Episode"* usually the Gang of MC get a lot of FanService Shot plus having Fun but not for the Introvert One, when in a *"Hot Springs Episode"* the Main Cast usually get some Peeping Shot and a Close Face2Face personal Talk while accidentally Enter the Wrong Gender Bath or the Mixed One
Plus let’s not forget episodes where they fight monsters or enemies, are threatened by danger, get a new job or start a new school, meet someone and form an instant crush, solve mysteries, have an argument with friends, gain skills and abilities, and make progress towards their goals.
Some more cliches: mostly human characters, and elves. Modern and historical Japanese settings, sci fi and fantasy settings. Cell shaded animation with low frame rate and flat drawing. Occasional moments of Sakuga. Generally attractive cast of characters. Detailed eyes and hairstyles but everything else highly simplified.

There's a couple more that mostly apply to slice of life/romance manga: School festival arc, ski trip arc, the shy UwU girl who never ends up winning, the short (usually blue) haired girl who also never wins, the childhood friend who ALSO never wins, the graduation arc that many manga of the genre end on, and of course, the mysterious outcast MC who somehow gets all the girls in the school despite having no friends.

Still slice of life tropes are so common that eventually you start to predict the girl personality by her hair collor. There always the janky one, the nerd one, the child, the serious one, the otaku one, the shy one and the drunk teacher. If there's not enough girls their personality will merge.

In Attack on Titan child soldiers actually make sense in the lore.
- Their society's advancement is about 19th century level, when 15 year old was basically considered adulthood.
- Much of capable adult population died in futile attacks following the initial breach in the wall. The government mostly did that to shorten the population.
- Many children had nowhere to go other than the army because of becoming orphans or general poverty.

In shonen, there's almost always the "teacher" character for the protagonist that's basically a shonen protagonist who already grew up. Gojo and Levi, for example.
Edit:Kakashi, Koro sensei, Wish, Jotaro and Rayleigh are better examples according to the replies.

Levi wasn't really a teacher, Hange however seems to be the closest one (due to the titan experiments with eren), but not quite since Eren didn't learn any titan stuff from them (apart from the common knowledge about pure titans), Eren learned all about titans through his father's memories and the paths
Well, not really "teacher" per say, just a male side character that feels like a shonen protagonist that already did everything. My emamples, Levi and Gojo, are basically the strongest members in their respective shows, but are never really the main focus or protagonist despite being more interesting characters.
To put it simply, their too perfect to work with as mains.

Create the kids to fight since the beginning of their life, so their never disobey command and kill without making a lot of questions. Ah yes, that typical school comedy-slice of life anime where the protagonist makes a club where there are a tsundere, a very happy person, a dude with glasses and a random person and then they start to do anime things like going to the beach, to the hot springs, the school festival where they try to promote their club, then they go to Akihabara, that autumn or spring festival with fireworks, there's also a cliche romance thingy, oh, and don't forget the fact that the student council hates that club and they try to close it but the power of friendship can solve that.
