Yes it is I, scamboli review back at it with another anime review. Today I'm talking about Inuyahsiki, it's a pretty good shounen anime about an old man who turns into a robot. Pretty crazy concept, I know. Anyways Inuyashiki last hero is pretty good so I'm gonna leave it at that.

This anime is not good though.
Same with the manga. I read it all in just under a couple hours
@@hersheypie3845 that feel when you find a manga that isn't a straight up plagiarism of another manga, and you feel like your actually reading something else without thinking you've gone insane because it's the exact same plot as anywhere else.
Likewise with gantz it's mostly just gore porn. It tries to glances over some dark and real themes but yeah just glances over them. In the sea of modern anime trash it stands out as way more interesting definitely. But as a whole when you compare it to TV series, movies, books, you know anything that follows similar features in narrative, this show doesn't hold a candle. Wish there were more like this though because my god the modern day anime is so repetitive and tedious.
“Power doesn’t always corrupt. Power always reveals. When you have enough power to do what you always wanted to do, then you see what the guy always wanted to do.”

@@mosinM-so5ng It's a counter quote to, "Power always corrupts. Absolute power corrupts absolutely."
ah that makes sense@@kseriousr
When the person is done with what they have to do, all they have left is power, and what they do when they get bored doesn't in so much reveal their character but rather what power does to a person.
You aren't immune, and people who are good do not approach power and leave it as soon as possible, for a good reason.
Because power always corrupts. It may take time with some, but it will. Some people can be corrupt before they have power. That's all.
I wish we had more protagonists like this. He's WAY more relatable than the young, plucky cookie-cutter protags.

Id give this show a 9.5/10. The main thing I hate is how one dimensional most of the cast is. Everyone is either an asshole or begging for mercy, with a few exceptions. I do like how shishigami and ichiro are written
2:21 hiro looked like yagami light here and the fact that he also got the same philosophy "I'm doing nothing wrong" is crazy
They hold similarities in how they perceive others, but are completely different in how they perceive themselves. Light had a clear goal . HIro is more like dead inside. Wants to feel alive but can't, he doesn't want to become a god, or a legend, just feel alive.
@@yusukeelric The only thing they have similar is the art style and being immoral. Hiro has people he cared about, his mother and father, his childhood friend, and the girl and her grandmother. Hiro showed actual genuine feelings giving a f_ck about another person and tried to change his ways on their behalf. While Lights love for his family is as small as a proton. Light only saw the world he had to change after receiving that book. He put on an act when his father died, considered disregarding his sisters life. And saw other humans as pawns and opponents.

2017 when I watched this I was 22, I thought it was interesting and very, very disturbing because of how real and violent it was but this is also the guy who made Gantz so I'm not shocked, but seeing the Hiro scene I didn't really think anything of it too much. Sure it was pretty messed up and shocking but it didn't hit me as hard.
2022 now 26 and after watching this video it hits way more harder than it did before, I'm an adult now; living on my own, engaged, and I have a baby now. I love this series I got so impatient that I couldn't wait till the anime was finished to finish the series so instead I read the whole manga and I agree, 2017 wasn't ready for this anime I wasn't ready for it either and now I think after a few years I am and it really shows the good and ugly in the world perfectly.
Scary how much we change as we get older. I feel like that's why the voting age should be raised.

There were a lot of sad and emotional moments in this anime. But the scene that made me feel so down is something quite sudden for me. It was a moment when Hiro was talking to Ando for the last time. I've never justified or approved his actions, so I thought that it wouldn't hit me this hard. The moment when his friend thinks that Hiro came to get rid of him and calles him a heartless machine, just as other people before who consider him a cruel monster, a devil. And, are they all right? Definitely, but not in all. He Is a cruel monster, killing machine, a devil, but he Does have a heart. There are still people he cared and always will care for, and Ando is one of them. Seeing Hiro crying was just... heartbreaking for me, even after all that crazy brutal shit he'd done.
He is and always was different from normal people, but still wanted somebody to understand him and consider him a human being, to be on his side. That was a reason why he didn't kill Shion.. because she was ready to accept Hiro the way he was and cared only about him staying with her and grandma.
He would never hurt his friend and seeing how scared and distrustful Ando was towards him made Hiro feel so abandoned and devastated. And after all, even after Ando showed that he turned away from him and did not consider him a human being at all, a being worthy of sympathy, Hiro still cares about him. He's one of the few people Hiro gives his life for....

when i watched it and then needed to go outside there where some childreen playing like idk Robber and police or so im not sure but 2 of them run around with the Hand turn into the Pistol and yelled Bam but my mind just told me like GET THE FCK RIGHT BACK INTO THE HOUSE LOCK IT BARRICADE IT BUILD URSELF A 20 STORY DEEP BUNKER AND LIVE DOWN THERE FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE but suddenly eminem was right next to me screaming in my ear SNAP BACK TO REALITY
I really love this anime, it's actually one of the very few that made me cry at the end.
Another one that I enjoy, but people seem to have slept on was Ushio to Tora
I read this manga before and I fell in love with it. Its so cool. I didn't realize it had an anime. I guess I know what I'm gonna be binging during Christmas break.
Thank god somebody talks about this show. It's literally one of my favorites from this decade. The ending makes me cry every time.
Great ending for sure
@@ScamboliReviews your a idiot for thinking the ending was good. that fight was like a toddler vs an adult. old man being the toddler. dude had no clue how his abilities worked and won. bullshit.
@@jdogzerosilverblade299 Really he just won by luck and they both went auto at the end so yeah it was just luck so I don't think saying the ending is bad is right its like saying gintama fights suck because there is no power level sometimes a character beats everyone not even as a joke just beats everyone in a fight and then boom movie ur weak or boom an actual fight ur weak.
@@jdogzerosilverblade299 I don't think anybody here cares what you think... I mean if Scamboli thinks its a good ending, it must be good
@@Kingarior sorry but no luck played a part in that fight. the old man won cuz he tore open the guys skull. no way luck plays a factor in that. the old guy shouldnt have been able to catch up enough to grab his skull let alone pull it apart.
I really enjoyed Inuyashiki. I really love how the aliens are like "Aw shit, idgaf if our only replacement bodies destroy planets, just do it before the cops come!!" and they were never seen again 😂😂😂
Yeah they don't even really show up in the anime either, just one panel of the manga
@@ScamboliReviews is what they’re saying translated for the reader?
@@ScamboliReviews the writer did pretty much the same thing with his earlier work, Gantz, at least in the anime. It was never truly explained what Gantz exactly is. Pls correct me if I'm wrong.
ive been searching for this anime for the last year ty
thanks so much i never knew about this anime till now

Show is basically young people are full of shit. And nice guys are treated like shyt.
@@frozzytango9927 More like the bad guy been treated great while the great guy been treaded bad. Just like in the real world.
It is.
The bathtub scene with the baby is one I’ll never forget. I had to stop watching for a second because i was just so shocked. But I still recommend this anime to anyone who likes this kind. I always think about it when I first watched it years ago. And I loved it. I was amazed.

awesome vid ngl, just found ur channel
First time watching your video review a anime I just found like 1 hour ago. Good vid. Very good vid.
that bathtub scene was the most fucked up thing I had seen in a long time. the real brutality of lingering on it long enough to watch it play out really drove home how painful it was and how cold he was.
That was only the second episode too. It was definitely the most brutal scene in the whole show to watch though.
@Armchair moron When he shoots the dad in the bathtub, the dad's body slumps over onto his son who was in his lap, then the son drowns in the bath water due to the weight of the father's dead body. That was the brutal scene I was referring to, for me it was hard to watch.
The villain is too real, and the old man is too sweet. The anime is too engaging. It's too underrated.

HIT ME ON THE GROUND! HIT ME ON THE GROUND!
This anime was one of the few that made me cry. And it wasn't because of the sad parts, when the old guy was being a hero it gave me chills and just made me cry for some reason
I feel that
As did I. The old man had qualities that were extremely exemplar of Jesus Christ
the scene where the daughter was saved got to me a lot. made me wish i had a dad like inuyashiki

GREAT REVIEW!!!
Thanks for bringing this under rated anime into limelight
Ok I agree Hiro's evil but still, when he murdered those people on the internet because they made fun of his mother's death is just so satisfying
You seem eviler than Hiro lol. TBH i would not say Hiro was evil, rather he was confused and in a twisted way was acting too rational and towards the end when he goes up against Japan, he was basically ready to kill. Evil would be knowing and understanding that killing is bad, Hiro straight up does not have a grasp does not has a grasp on the idea of murder etc
