- In his four years on the WSL Championship Tour, Kanoa Igarashi has grown from Huntington Beach prodigy to full-blown star. He broke through fo this first event win in Bali in 2019 and finished the season as the 6th ranked surfer, a sure sign of great things to come in the future. For now, the electric young talent is focused on bringing home a gold medal for Japan’s surfing team at this year’s Olympics. And after watching this insane set of clips, we think he has a real chance to do it...

Lol beats.... knows a lot about surfing but not about music gear.
I think he's too low too long, and too front footed. Needs to work on becoming a little more erect and more back footed all around. Maybe he can take Pottz's approach when he trained for his world title year, when he went and surfed modern single fins alone to get that back foot surety. Kanoa is great, but doesn't have that torque and wow factor, due to being too low too much and too front footed like Julian Wilson does. It worked for Cheyne Horan, but he's a different story and equipment and era.
*Sharp Eye surfboards are working way way better for him. More curve and just light years better than those straight outlined CIS.
he's on the tour with one of the best coaches in the world, and Julian Wilson has nearly won a world title in the past so I think they both much know more than you 'gif cancel'
