- We often feel bogged down and frustrated with 'destiny' when things don't go well in life. But we don't mind it when things go well! How much of life is destiny and how much of it is self-effort?
There is a strong resounding answer based on the life experiences of many people with Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. Starting with a special person working for Radiosai to an alumnus seeking a child; from a personal experience to the experience of an agnostic professor in the Sri Sathya Sai University, the insights that we gain from Swami are tremendous. Whatever be the proportion of 'effort' and 'destiny' in life, living cheerfully becomes a reality once we learn a little secret.
This was a special Satsangh talk delivered at the end of the World Youth Conference at Prasanthi Nilayam on the 15th of July 2016.

I am looking to switch my career/job for sometime now with absolutely no positive response. I got my horoscope checked recently and there is no career written in that , so am very well aware that am trying to create something thats not even there in the first place. So deep down i feel grateful to swamy for giving me my current job , However being an 'athyagrahi' this morning i was feeling lot low and was telling him nothing is gonna happen , since its not even written in my destiny though i try to put in a lot of effort [upskilling et al]. So your message from swamy gives me hope to continue to put in effort to change my destiny. Thanks Aravind
You should be really happy that you have a job on hand. Perform your tasks sincerely and dedicate everything to Swami. Everything will be fine. My horoscope says I should get a great job and yet I am without one now. Everything is not about destiny. We should continue our efforts and the rest is upto Swami.

Krishna tells Arjun, we are both born many times .. Also Krishna tells Arjun, we are both unborn eternal nondual aatman.. Both are correct. One is relative truth, one is Absolute.. Same regarding Karma and Destiny according to the level of consciousness of who is listening! Ramana Maharshi in his highest realization of Self has said everything is predetermined.. everything! So in the highest Truth, not a leaf moves without Will of Divine! But in relative world where “you” don’t know “you” are the Self, Karma (action) is effort, Bhoga (consequence) is destiny!

I would be making a wrong assumption that I know better. My prayer always is that our love for God keeps growing every moment
We should not conclude that Westerners are ignorant just because they don't worship Swami. If it was so, then there are many 'ignorant' people in India too.
So much literature on Baba could you notmake shorter videos?
