    What gets me is how many of these "missing then found dead" cases is how many times the victims aren't fully dressed when found, even though they must have started out wearing trousers and shoes or boots; those seem to be the most "missing clothes".
    Would hypothermia or hallucogenics or delusion affect so many people in the same way? Surely if you were overheating, or thought you were, you'd take off your coat first, not your trousers, which, as was pointed out, would mean taking your shoes or boots off first.

      People hallucinating or extremely fucked up have a hard time keeping control of there pants, they fall down and/or get twisted up (like grab the belt area while wearing and twist to the left or right which for men can be extremely unpleasant when in such mental conditions

      in some extreme hypothermia cases people will experience the phenomenon "paradoxical undressing" which causes them to feel as if they're extremely hot. however I'm pretty sure it's fairly rare.

    • @Nova-Franconia
      @Nova-Franconia Před 3 měsíci +2

      @@novahmartin5854 That's basically caused by their nerves being killed off by the cold, making it feel like they're on fire. People dying of hypothermia often times also try to hide away before death occurs, or curl themselves into a corner or something.
      "An apparent self-protective behaviour, known as "terminal burrowing", or "hide-and-die syndrome", occurs in the final stages of hypothermia. Those affected will enter small, enclosed spaces, such as underneath beds or behind wardrobes. It is often associated with paradoxical undressing." -Wikipedia

    It's possible that Dustin did die of hypothermia. Paradoxical undressing and burrowing are both characteristics of late stage hypothermia. His was undressed and his head was stuck in a hole. They said they never found his camping gear so it's possible he did set up camp somewhere, was unable to keep warm and maybe tried to make his way back to his car but succumbed to the hypothermia before he could make it.

    1st one is so strange. It's also not like the coroner's discover another cause of death, he just disagreed that it was simply an accident. I'm also suspicious of the ATV guys cause it seemed very convenient that they just happened to crashed and go back only to discover him. But at the same time, if they were guilty I doubt they would've reported anything.

    Gonna pop in with some theories of my own;
    For the first, it’s obvious that someone killed him, but it’s how that’s uncertain. Maybe someone knocked him out, stole his shoes and for whatever reason his pants, and then left him to die in the woods, covering their tracks as they went. It would be difficult; but whoever did it had days to properly cover their tracks, and since the police were awfully keen on shutting the case and keeping people quite about it the person may be involved with law enforcement.
    Second one; “foul play was ruled out” ????? Yeah cause he definitely did all that for absolutely no reason, he was definitely at the least pursued, from there two things could have happened; A he had a mental break and completely lost it. Or B he was chased down and killed in that fashion, then for whatever reason his clothes were stolen. Because remember, he had food and drinks, and he previously stated to his ex that he was being chased.

      But then as it was stated there WAS snow on the ground, it hadn't snowed anymore, so tracks should of been found. Although nothing was. 0 tracks. and to cover up tracks in snow is almost impossible because you are just constantly making more.

    "There were people after him"
    Am i the only one who heard that in the second story? It's weird nobody adressed that fact. Leaving his car and basically wandering in nowhere and dying nude doesn't make any sense hypothermia or not. However if there were faul play and someone was after him that's a different story. Not to mention he was able to call his girlfriend from his cell phone. All he had to do was tell her roughly where he crashed his car (how far from the gas station) and /or go back on the road he was coming from

    in story 1, why wasnt he wearing trousers? i think the fact that he was not wearing trousers when found IN THE SNOW that maybe he was sexually assaulted, murdered eslewhere and dumped there. i really hope he wasnt kidnapped and kept alive for days and then killed just before he was found. that would be horrifying

    The second story reminds me of one I read/heard about a fella that was an experienced hiker and went missing on a hike he’d done before. He couldn’t be found and only turned up later by accident miles away from where he should have been and missing items that he would usually take with him. The spot he was found was extremely close to where he had parked his car and he should have been able to walk up a ridge and arrive at his car had he gotten lost. It was a mystery what happened to him that resulted in his death until a while later a professor(? I think) who was interested in the mystery was talking about it to a colleague who perked up and started asking questions back. The colleague had recognised what had gone on based on the area and a few other things and it turned out that there was a low weed endemic to the area the man had been found in with extremely potent poison in fine, sharp barbs all over it. Similar to another case the colleague had known about where the hiker had unknowingly brushed up against one of these weeds and a barb had gotten stuck in a bit of clothing against his skin and caused bizarre behaviour ending in death. Can’t remember where I heard/read it but it may have even been another Mr Ballen video.

    I'll say for that first one he was probably killed by someone either a son a nephew daughter etc of someone high up I don't know maybe a police chief or something hence why the coroner was fired to prevent further investigation maybe? I believe he was chased and killed probably stored somewhere and then dumped 10 days later than before they left the area where they dumped him they made sure they didn't leave any tracks also reason why he didn't have his pants and make sense of that Maybe the killer or killers took it as a trophy in a way to humiliate him leaving him without his pants and shoes but That's just my theory though I could be way off or watch too much forensic files or something lol

    • @Peter-hz5nk
      @Peter-hz5nk Před rokem +2

      Exactly my thoughts. Someone in that party was most likely related to a law enforcement worker. Maybe it was premeditated and they wanted him gone which is why as soon as that coroner spoke up and disagreed, he got shut down so quickly and fired… trying to hide the fact that they planned it.

Same as going into the ocean, your just an animal at the end of the day, a smart one but still an animal, a shark could come eat you, you could drown, get caught in a current & sent out to sea, could get swallowed by a whale, stung by a stingray or jellyfish, pass out etc. survival of the fittest

    These aren't really that mysterious, they are just ignoring a few key details that explain the story.
    For example it's well documented that feeling hot is one of the main effects of hypothermia making people strip off in freezing conditions. Combined with the mental effect that level of exposure can cause people can do some very strange things before they finally succumb. All three stories are full of details like this but I don't want to go into an essay. Suffice to say these are presented as "mysterious" by omitting alot of information.
    And don't even get me started on the strange "ball of light" coming from a forest we just established contains a women sat in a tree taking pictures. One word "autoflash"

    @weaponx2980 Před rokem +1

    It’s hard to cover tracks in the snow, it’s easier when it’s not snowing. I see y’all trying to find a logical explanation for these disappearances but again sometimes there is no logical or practical reason. And that’s coming from someone who was very logical until I had my own experiences with my brother and 2 other friends. Also it wasn’t snowing and it didn’t snow and the biggest reason why law enforcement may rule something an accident in a place where crime isn’t high so their numbers don’t change especially when murder is rare.

    • @Peter-hz5nk
      @Peter-hz5nk Před rokem +1

      Yeah but they could’ve tried to cover the tracks the next day when it wasn’t snowing. His body was found like 10 days later up on the hill. Someone in law enforcement knows something but are keeping it a secret.
