Hey, we’re going to Slovenia this fall and we’re going to follow your advice. Can you tell us which parking lot you parked in? We are getting lots of advice of where to park. P1 P3? Thoroughly enjoyed your video. Thank you very much.

      Hi, thank you! 🙃
I also got mixed advice. Many park at a place called "Lip central parking lot Vintgar P+R" (I think this is P3, but don't quote me) and it's 7Euro for 4 hours and the shuttle is included. It's the small village near the entrance to the Gorge. The shuttle will take you back and forth for free.
There's a small lot (50 car spots) at the entrance, but it's 4Euro per hour. I think this is P1, but also not positive.
I parked right before the P1 small lot (1 minute walk from the entrance) on the street. There are many parallel spots. Here is the address and the coordinates on the map. A man walks around with a machine and charges you 10Euro flat for the day. You put that ticket in the window.
Podhom 62, 4247 Zgornje Gorje, Slovenia (note that there's an ATM right there)
      OR
      Coordinates: 46.390859554956315, 14.083928167165098
You cannot go wrong, either way. You can always fall back on the further away parking too. I didn't go at rush hours. If you do park at the lot and shuttle, arrive there 30 minutes before your scheduled entrance time.

I will also post this in the details for others. I hope you enjoy your trip. Thanks for stopping by.
      Cheers 🙃

Hello i watched your video and cannot wait to visit in a few weeks'time. How long did the walk (green path) take you to get back to the parking? I am asking as we will have an 11 and a 13 yr old with us but we enjoy walking and enjoy nature on holidays

Hi, I suppose it depends on your speed. We stopped very often, and we also lounged in the little town area for a while. It's been a while, but if I had to guess, I'd say the from the exit through the forest could be walked in 30 minutes or possibly less. From the town area through the awesome view looped around the hills, that may be an hour or less. I may be over/underestimating because it's a bit hazy now. It's not a difficult terrain at all. If you're including the Gorge itself, I would add an extra hour for that. You'll want to stop for photos and to enjoy it. Hope that helps, cheers 🙃

How much time you take from the beginning back to parking? And what month you go in this video?

I was there in April and I think it took about an hour or less to walk the gorge. We stopped for photos here and there. It took us about 2.5 or 3 hours to walk the back path and circle around. We stopped a lot for photos though. We also relaxed after the forest for a while too.

How was the trail from sum waterfall to the church? Got steep trail? Because i was thinking to finish the trail at the church and our tour guide will pick up us from there.

From what I recall, it wasn't steep at all. It was a really easy trail.

You're welcome. All I know is that the other path is shorter. I don't know the grade or anything.
