- Hello hello, fellow goblins. SO I’ve been working on my novel (contemporary queer romance with a hint of otherworldly soulmate concepts) and even though I’d love to be farther along, I’m still happy with the progress I’m making. Like finishing Act I about halfway through the month!

I outline a bit... but like just a few sentences of what happens in each chapter and maybe some character profiles, but not always. I used to be a pantser, now I am more of a plantser
Oh my god, thank you so much. 😭💖 I’m so jealous! That used to be me, where I could just come up with some bullets of what needed to happen and then just pants the rest of it. I don’t know what happened to turn me into the obsessive freak I am now! 😂

It’s so hard because in this hustle culture people make you feel like you have to constantly be productive, and it’s hard to just take a step back and allow yourself to relax. But I’ve definitely noticed the benefits of actually taking breaks! Thanks for commenting! 💖

THANK YOU! Act II is already so much more involved and slow-going, so I’m definitely trying to hold onto the high of finishing Act I, since I think it might take me a little longer this time around. 😂
Congrats in finishing act 1, but I agree about weekends off, you need the time off, and away from writing!
It’s so hard because when I have no chores or responsibilities to take care of on the weekend, I feel like I NEED to be writing, like that time can’t be wasted. At the same time though, I’ve definitely noticed my mental health and even my creative energy is better just having those two days off. And thank you! 💖
