any recommendation for a hog sniper light for close range, mostly in the thick woods, maybe up to 200 yd. is the red useful for coyotes too? or is the green useful for anything?

The 38LRX and 50 LRX are perfect for that distance. Check out the video I recently did on light intensity. It shows that they aren't really triggered by color but by brightness/intensity.
