I have symptoms of insulin resistance that may be related to polycystic ovarian syndrome (pcos), including skin tags. After a few weeks of taking them, the skin tags on my neck disappeared completely.

    Hi Dr! First, Thank you for your advices. Is a very good help for us that can’t be going to dermatologist so often. I do a lot of treatments for my dark spots even though I don’t have a lot but I don’t want more of them. Probably I am not using the right product or I’m not doing this routine exactly how you explained in this video. I always try to buy the best product out there with the help of an esthetician in the store. My question is: HYDROQUINONE get me RASH and REDNESS to my face. What can I do to replace this product for dark spots? Again, Thank you for all you do for us who has this problem with these stubborn dark spots! 😊

      I’m not a dermatologist or anything but if your skin is burning it most likely your skin barrier is damaged which means you should go back to the basics (cleanser, moisturiser, and sunscreen) for a little bit until your skin gets better.

    • @morana0
      @morana0 Před 25 dny

      I am watching this video few weks later and also I am not a dermatologist, but I am a huge skincare enthusiast and I watch and read a lot about skincare from different dermatologist. There is few possible reasons for your reaction. If you used that combination daily that was too much. Glycolic acid should be used once or twice and maximum three times a week. Three times a week for skin that is quite resilient and thick. The other possible reason for your reaction might be high percentage of Niacinamide. There are a lot of 10% Niacinamide serums on the market, but it is scientifically proven that 4% is enough to see the benefits. Everything more than that will not give more benefits, but it might cause this kind of reaction. I would recommend you back to basics for maybe three or four weeks. Gentle cleanser, hydrating cream without any active ingredients and sunscreen. After that, you can try and incorporate Glycolic acid once a week and 4% Niacinamide maybe every other day for first two weeks. Than you will see. If everything goes well you can try and use Glycolic acid twice a week, but no more then that and you can use 4% Niacinamide every day, because that is an ingredient which can be used daily. Just be careful about percentage. So, Glycolic acid not to often and Niacinamide not too strong. To shorten my answer. I hope you will see it and I hope it will help 😊
