    Thanks for the video. Could you please explain, if we just need to find ICD-10 code for this scenario, which will be the main term in the ICD 10 Manual to look for herniated cervical disc.

    • @AMCIMedicalCoding
      @AMCIMedicalCoding  Před 2 lety +1

      In our course we teach the following: The main term will be an eponym 1st , diagnoses 2nd , or the word that is doing something (could be a verb or adverb) 3rd. I hope this helps.

    • @leepakshi1
      @leepakshi1 Před 2 lety

      @@AMCIMedicalCoding Thanks. But, in this scenario I am having trouble finding it. There is no eponym and the diagnoses is herniated cervical disc and the verb is excision. Please correct me, if I am wrong and help me finding in the code in the ICD Manual.

    • @AMCIMedicalCoding
      @AMCIMedicalCoding  Před 2 lety

      @@leepakshi1 Correct there is no eponym, there is no diagnoses. So our task of the 3 terms which of the 3 is doing something? Herniated, cervical or disc? The answer has to be herniated or hernia.... Look up herniated/ hernia > intervertebral (then you are directed to displacement).....
