You know what to noticed as soon as Mark entered the bar at 36:48 there's a song in the background playing "Daddy's Girl" by The Mills Brothers. I appreciate this scene in the game so much because these men are stranded on this island. Some of them may be husbands and fathers and for that song to be played in the background created a strong vibe to the setting. Certain music is played to distract or comfort people from the harsh reality of situation they're in.

where they have to escape or die, however, the ones who didn't try to escape were living fine ig, and they do fishing to feed themselves
I mean, they've been stripped away from their entire lives. They had animal masks forcefully stuck to their heads for the rest of their lives. They can never leave, they're under constant threat of the boreman killing them. If they attempt at trying to escape or helping others rebuild a normal life they die. There's literally no way out of the torture besides committing suicide.
And yes, Mr. Wiskers does this for his entertainment and nothing else.
The game remake will answer to some of these question. Stay tuned.

This video was the reason I played whiskers way back in 2019 and I loved the game so much. After 3 years I decided to play it again for nostalgic purposes and played through it in one sitting. Most modern revolvers can be cocked as well. Single action revolvers require you to cock the hammer while double action revolvers can be fired in both single action or double action mode. Cocking the hammer back allows you to heavily lighten and lessen the trigger pull, thus increasing accuracy and decreasing the chances of hesitation.
