I remember the first time i heard this. I was 9 years old and my mama was in the hospital. I remember I was mesmerized. Now im 52 with stage 3B kidney failure and congestive heart failure. After the things I have dealt with in this heavy world, this song hits differently now. I'm content to Watch the Wheels. Everything is eventual. Love, light and peace ✌ to you all.

This was The exit Song at my late brothers Funeral last month . Massive Beatles and Lennon fan ( his idol ) . These lyrics summed up my brother’s additions he battled throughout his 68 years of life . He struggled with this world and couldn’t never find the peace and could never understand why “ They “ just couldn’t give peace a chance but now he finally has found that peace he so desperately wanting to find . RIP Brother . Love you forever ❤xxxx .

On December 8, 1980, I was in the courtyard of the night school where I studied chemistry. I remember a friend who came to me and said straight out they killed John Lennon. I was in shock and didn't understand why anyone would do that. I was young. It was the first time I experienced the emptiness caused by someone's absence. That day I understood, in the worst way, the meaning of the word evil.
People say I'm crazy because I'm waiting for my one true love I know my heart will not be happy with anyone else, my arms want to hold only one, love my lips want to kiss only one, I'm waiting trying to have faith ... so I'm just sitting here watching the tape go round and round waiting

I was painting a house in January 2002 with my Dad wondering what I was going to do next. He had his painting business. I had John Lennons best of on a tape. In between Pat Kenny and Joe Duffy on RTE Radio 1 I put it on. Had never heard this song before. Great tune to hear when you're doing the cutting in.
This was my song while at ADX Florence. Sitting here doing time… we were at war with the DC Blax. Three stickers went down didn’t even get a chance to retrieve my steel. They started firing off that carbine and we all hit the deck. Three went off the yard that day in a horizontal position. The next day was even more drama…and the warning shot was a hit. Best times of my life.
The best was still to come. All time classic simple yet on another level of songwriting.

Even he just watching the wheel of everyday going to their life we can feel the heavy load in his heart. What good is he can brought it out in every song he made. If it's happening to them, people that we can do say have all the blessings in life, wealth and being famous around the world they can get everything that money can buy. But no one can buy peace of mind. The more money you have the more you want it for every time of your life. I'm naïve, and uneducated. Mostly. SiriusXM offers the Beatles channel and they play a fair amount of Lennon. Born in 67 and all I ever knew was they were far better than Elvis and many said you had to chose. Coming out of the alcohol and smoke induced fog has taken a decade but more and more and more I appreciate them and Lennon's solo work. Pure talent as a lyricist and awesome at putting melodies together. Cheers!
