    Incredible. I love how Starbucks fought so hard to create a culture that's literally taking them down.

    To the upper Management, CEO & DMs at Starbucks, you all are disgusting for the tactics you use against your own employees because they want to unionize. To the hard workers at Starbucks, you deserve better.

    Closing the store is a tactic they learned from Walmart organizing effort in SoCal. They claimed plumbing issues🤨

    Starbucks, the original store in Seattle’s public market, was the very first place I drove upon getting my drivers license on my 16th birthday. You will NEVER have my business again. I have a very long, mean memory when it comes to corporations. I’m going to start picketing your stores in Wenatchee. Power to the people! You are going down!

    That last point hits HARD. That woman and her grandfather have been fighting for the same things some 60 years apart and (to paraphrase our current president) "nothing fundamentally changed".

    How do we get money to these folks so they can keep up the fight. They’re not only unionizing for themselves as individuals. It’s bigger than them. The company is trying to wear them down instead of simply making their lives better. I’ve asked my sisters to give up their Starbucks coffee.

    Its amazing they have all those employees and did it without union but now union is better for them? Yes they made cuts. Look at whats going on in this world. Supressing the creation of new jobs isnt good. Its not all about you. What about the next person who needs a job? Things are set to get bad. Real bad. I would be scared to lose my job too but the union wont save a closing store. We will see how it goes

  • @mikethemechanic7395
    @mikethemechanic7395 Před 2 lety

    I was a union buster years ago at one of my jobs. I am a customer of Starbucks for 20 years. How many people here have been in a union? They are bullshit. Everyone thinks unions pay more and have better benefits. Most do. But their is a big downside to this system. Seniority and pay differences. My union I was in for 1.5 years I had to pay the same union dues as the guys who make way more then me. How would you like to make 17 hr and pay the same as the people
    Who make 39 hr? Same as insurance? Seniority is the worst. I was 24 at the time and you had to be 40 plus to get the weekends off. 60 plus to get any holidays. All of the overtime went to the 55 and older. These older guys did not need the money as much as the 20 somethings. Screw unions…

    • @NyetTube
      @NyetTube Před 2 lety +6

      It's not for you, but you are a sucker if you were paying the same dues as a new hire compared to the top pay members ( or you are lying here) because I never heard of any union that deducts dues that way. The union I was in did it by a math calculation of your hourly pay by hours worked- simple. Huge corporations treat their lowest employees like garbage often. Unions are a necessary.

    • @keemarie1
      @keemarie1 Před 2 lety +4

      My husband is in a Union NOW and everything you just stated is bullshit. My husband had a 401K and retirement plan at the age of 23. That’s what unions are gonna do for these young people. Everything else you said deserves no reply cause it’s ignorant!!! The itty bitty union dues are nothing compared to the backing and family you get from the union. Not to mention everything else that comes along with it. SOLIDARITY 👊🏽
