Barry, my answer to your questions.... 🤷♀I have no idea of the release dates for this song by Faith Hill or Pentatonix. I've been living under this rock for years. I've never heard the Faith Hill version and only heard the PTX version a little over a year ago when I discovered Pentatonix.😁
So I'm making up for lost time... I watch and listen to this video all through the year, not just at Christmas. They all sound amazing, but I especially like Mitch and Kirstie's vocals. Great reaction B☘! 💖

Faith Hill? We went to the movies, Cierra was still small. But where? Louisiana or Alabama? Ugh, don't remember (we went to a lot of movies when she was young) 2005? Pentatonix? Matt is here in this one, so had to be after he joined and Avi left, but how long ago in years? I don't know, before the C word, 2019?
Well, I listened to the song all the way through while I "thought", and I can honestly say that this must be the first time I didn't cry when I heard it.
But, now the review. Ugh!

"..of all time?" is an impossible challenge, but for the last several years I have been most enchanted by PTX and Angelina Jordan. There are individual songs by other artists that I like a lot, but for a body of work over several years, it's those two.
Hello Barry... so nice to find another Pentatonix song here :) As for the question, let's say they are my favourite group of all time. Because Dimash and Angelina share the "favourite" spot with them for me. If you would offer me tickets to see just one of them, I'd be mortified to have to choose one of them over the other.

I'd low key love PTX to either do an upgrade of a heavy metal song with their own spin, or to make a heavy metal version (or club mix) of a Christmas song...if anyone could it's them.
This is one of my favorites from their Christmas repertoire. It really shows off Kirstin's gorgeous lower register (also seen in "Rather Be" among others).
Bit of trivia: This was shot after Kirstin broke her ankle. One of the reasons they didn't move around, had her in the front, and the video never showed her below the waist is that she probably had her knee resting on the scooter she used during their concert shows (and TV special) that season.

Hey Barry I came across a little gem by accident they were on this show called The Sing Off and I wat hed every one of them the cool part is the judges gave them the songs they had picked and again totally blown away just look the title up on You Tube and I. me across Dolly Parton singing Jolene eith Pentatonix I swear just when u think they cant top themselves they knock it out of the park every time...seriously go to the Sing off with Nick Lechery hosting it but the judges give them standing ovations as well as the audience so do yourself a favor and watch magic being made🤘💜🎶

THis from the film the Grinch Barry. This really got me, I listened and cried. They just know how to mix a song with their voices. Each one of them could be a singer in their own rite, but together they are phenomenal.
They do all have solo projects & videos w/other artists. I think they allow that freedom to each other which makes staying together easier - they respect each other greatly & support each other's projects! 💖

I was scrolling through to see if any Pentaholic had mentioned this! I was trying to think if there was any musical genre PTX hasn’t done at least one of!
Making Christmas is quite cool. Given that Europe doesn’t ‘celebrate’ Halloween in quite the same way that North American’s do, I found that their version crosses over really well! Of course, it’s PTX! 🤗

If I may give a suggestion you should try checking out Home Free - Ring of fire (ft. Avi Kaplan) or Avi Kaplan - Change on the rise. Avi as you might know left Pentatonix to try a solo career and Change on the Rise is most likely his most famous song. Really beautiful and showcases his range alot more than you could see in Pentatonix
If you ask the Pentaholic Fans, they will tell you Avi’s most famous song would most likely be Quarter Past 4. Of course tho, everything he does is outstanding. But QP4 came just as he was leaving PTX. Everyone still cry’s the moment they hear it.
