Right now I am training with 6-12 reps combined with Time Under Tension for max results. If you find that lifting 5kg is too light for you in lateral raise (as an example) and you can hit 15 reps while still feeling you can hit more, then normally you will switch to heavier weights thinking that 5kg is too light for you. Right? What I recommend from my experience is, slower down the intensity of the workout. Train under Time Under Tension method. Which means you now follow 4:1 technique. What you have to do is, take the same 5kg weight you feel was too light for you, take it up in 1 sec and bring it down slowly in 4 secs. Build a mind and muscle connection and try not to loose the pressure, and hit back up again in 1 sec and come back down in 4 sec. This way you will take 5 secs to complete 1 rep (4+1) which means around 12×5= 60 secs approx to complete the set. Now you will feel your shoulder muscle burning and thats where you have trained your SLOW TWITCH MUSCLE FIBRES. Now that you have slowed down the intensity of the exercise, you will get better and more effective results with the same weights you were complaining about earlier. Hit like if you understood.
