Some people forget how Jürgen transformed the club. Won the league title after 30 years, and was soo close to wining a couple more, won us the champions league and more after being a sleeping giant really. Lets be grateful we had the opportunity to see some of the greayest memories and comebacks and send him off properly.
Unfortunately hes been poor improving on winning teams, been poor this season with subs, lineups, unable to sort the defensive issues all season and now unable to sort attacking issues.

Klopp, aside from 2019 which was perhaps the worst final I have seen against one of the weakest teams to make it to a final, always bottle Europe. Repeatedly losing to Madrid will be his everlasting European legacy, and against other Spanish teams too, do people just forget the 2016 Europa League Final happened? He only really wins domestic finals against Chelsea too.

Klopp has clearly been good for Liverpool. I think though he's a bit to loyal to players that have given all for him. Look at Pep at City, quite brutal. You're gone if he thinks your done. His football only works if the players can run around a lot and press the opponent. They were out pressed tonight by Atalanta again and he had no answer. He had a week to work out how to combat it and failed.

I think the whole strategy of buying these ‘energiser bunny’ high press type of attacking players has blown up in Klopps face. They can run all day but just lack technical quality and all looks so messy. Need an Olise/Palmer/Maddison type of player that offers something a bit different.

I don't think it is healthy to have any coach announce they are retiring during a season & then just be left in charge to deliver. Once you decide you are quitting, the fight can drain away, the importance can drain away, you can check out before you physically leave. I didn't expect it would be the case with Klopp but the team has reflected that since he spoke those words.

I don't think Liverpool have the excuse of burnout. We've heavily heavily rotated. Yes due to injuries. We've not had a consistent cb next to virgil. We have a different midfield each game. Salah has had time out. The only ones that can be accused of burnout are Nunez, Diaz, Macallister, and Virgil.
Injured players take time to regain form and full fitness.... That is a big factor in all of this. Just look at Salah since he came back from injury. Has been poor! Took VVD 18 months before he looked back to his best after that serious injury.

Klopp shouldn't have announced that he was leaving half way through the season, we kept winning but eventually the cracks began to show. The intense style of football he plays must take its toll, guaranteed agents straight away would have been in players ears about moves, they might not all like Klopp despite all the hugs. Realistic Liverpool fans know that we have had a decent season compared to last year but the wheels are off and change is coming. That being said we are that schizophrenic as a side, we could either carry on loosing and finish flat as a pancake, or beat an in-form Fulham and go on a mad winning streak

Given they haven't been serial winners under Klopp lets face it, certainly nothing like City under Pepe or Utd under Fergie, I believe he miscalculated sentiment and his team in general by announcing his departure at a crucial part of the season a couple of months back. For whatever reason he got it wrong and its backfired.
Maybe its a lesson in thinking these players of the modern age are self-confident , mature world class footballers with a mentality of steel when they are in fact not.
