:-) if you are pedaling purest, then I can understand. The light weight ebikes are much closer to Normal MTB than heavy weight bikes with respect to ride feel. That's why they made them.
I believe though that they are more niche than the Normal e-bike. It's good that there is now this option. Eventually all serious emtb brands will be looking to have a lightweight option in their line up.
