I wonder what works better, make your crews recognize your own ships and attack anything else, or make them recognize the enemy's ships, and don't attack anything else. Considering the smaller size and less ship classes of the Kriegsmarine that might be easier to memorize.

I am sure the Sheffield would have liked all the FAA to have seen this film for starters.

Quite interesting to see the old names given to 2 of the KGVs along with no mention of HMS Hermes, and refering to the Hawkins-class as a light cruiser!

Hermes was an escort carrier, even at this stage of the war. It's official designation was "experimental carrier".

FAA Swordfish could not recognise Sheffield which had been sailing alongside Ark Royal for several months!

You seem to be not very accustomed to north altlantic weather and it’s poor visibility.

The 2 KGVs still under construction are still named Jellicoe and Beatty (why did they change the names anyway?). When did the name change occur?

I have never heard a reason. I would not be surprised if Churchill was responsible, after his relationship with both men during WW1.

I have heard that those two were considered to be too recent in history.
the names chosen, were 2 of the four that
were to be used on the Admiral class battlecruisers, for what that is worth.
      I wouldn't rule out @Peorhum 's hypothesis though, either.

@@kidmohair8151 Yeah, I considered that possibility too.

@Kid Mohair I think Dr. Clarke mentioned that in one of his videos about KGV Class or "What goes into naming a ship"

Freeboardless RN capital ships, must have been a wet hell for accomodation. And for using the A-turret during rough seas…
