  • Thanks for watching my video on how to become a football coach!! I hope it has proven valuable!!
I try to give a step by step guide and provide information on the environments you want to try and get in whilst attaining your qualifications!!
Football coaching is a passion for many but not too many manage to make money from it. There are so many ways to do it but first of all and most importantly it is about becoming the best coach you can possibly be!!
Get out and coach and try things, learn from everywhere and evaluate your performance and you will be in the right track, the qualifications will then open the doors!!
I wish you luck in your journey as a football coach and would love to hear your comments!!

      Hi.
Thanks for your message. If you are going for your B license, by the time you have that you will probably have a fair bit of coaching experience and you will have built up a CV.
Pro academies are always looking for B licensed coaches as there is quite a shortage who are available. So if you contact the club and specifically the Head of Youth/Acdemy Manager/Phase Lead then you will usually be well received.
Asking to go and have a look at how they do things also provides good learning and gets you a foot in the door as well.

      Hi.
      Thanks for your comment!
As I have currently got my UEFA B and haven’t progressed to A license I didn’t feel I had as much to share on that. However you (in most cases) have to be working within a pro club to be accepted on to the course for the UEFA A License. The Pro license is usually only taken by very established, experienced coaches and both the A license and pro license are very expensive and often contributions from clubs make them more realistic for coaches. Pro license also starts to look at the financial side of the game. I’d like to get to that stage in the next few years!!

The information at the side helps to show key information like how much the courses cost and how long they take etc.
These courses are the ones recognised across the game in Europe and beyond.
UEFA C is of high value and then not many coaches go on past that. UEFA B allows you to work in pro academies etc and then the A license opens you up to the full time professional game.
