I am a Mexican Dear and I was in New York at the Barclay Center Dimash Concert at Dec 10, 2019. His voice is perfect, clear, powerful. It's amazing to see it live. His voice is impeccable, the air handling is perfect, his voice is powerful, incredible phighs and a perfect low voice. I love him more than before. after Dimash there is no one.

He’s incredible of course and does the song serious justice, but he’s never done the “impossible run” note for note before. The descending scale he sings in place of the diminished scale is very cool though! Doing it in staccato has NEVER been done(as far as I know it’s not possible) and only a couple of women have achieved it in legato note for note. Zhang Jane and a CZcamsr and opera singer that I cant seem to place her name right now.
Funny you mention The Fifth Element, he does do that song. It's called Diva Dance. There are 2 main versions people watch, one from Singer 2017 (alongside another song called Confessa) which is good for drama and emotion. Then there's the version from Bastau which I think is sung better and is closer to the movie, but less drama.
Should watch bastau and his duet with Lee, whistle time!
UPDATE: I watched Dimash sing Diva Dance. OH my GOODNESS! I am a fan and I can see why all of you are. Such a gifted all round artist.
Hey RISERS, thanks for watching. Just to mention, I was editing this video and just realised what happened at 6:16. That is crazy! What Dimash is doing is very skilfully going back and forth between his chest and head register and purposefully leaning into his passagio to create that yodel affect. Dimash then proceeds to speed up that affect to create that stunning sound . This is an amazing skill to have and does require special attention to master. It is common through arabian music also. Fantastic sound!

I don't know if you know, but Dimash does a spectacular version of Diva Dance. And for this song he has some other interpretations that are worth to be seen as well.

Went to see him live in Riga. Literally the best singer i have ever heard. From the 1st note to the last 2.5 hours later his level of performance never dipped once. Came out wondering what the hell i had just witnessed. I went with a girl who had been to 100's of concerts and didn't know him very well. She was in tears (Autumn Strong) and said it was the best concert she had ever been to by a mile. Our boy is truly the best vocalist in the universe. Tina, make it your mission to witness Di live, you will never forget it.
Attended his concert in Kiev, Ukraine. Had the same feeling)) Almost 3 hours of total amazement and pleasure of every single note he sang. Amazing vocalist and amazing kind and humple person. I thought that if he could he would personally hug everyone who was in the concert hall)))
Seeing Dimash in NY was the concert of a lifetime... and I've been to 100s. It was the fastest 3 hours of my life. He's just so overwhelming! Not sure if it's possible to go into shock because of a concert... but it sure felt like it. 😂
Dimash is very humble and even ask permission before he speaks to the band and audience after the performance.

Yes, Dimash is a very humble person. That is one of the reasons why he is loved so much....and he loves his fans equally, that's why he refers to them as "dears" - because they are dear to him. He deserves all the success he is getting.

Dimash is a total package: gorgeously handsome, very tall at 6'3", at a young age of 25 has achieved so much in his musical career, classically trained since age 5, sings in 8-10 different languages, instrumentalist and so on. Other than that, he's very patriotic and very grateful to his mentors and to all who were contributory to his career development. He's a loving son, gandson and brother to his 2 siblings. It's very rare that with such qualities, you still find him so HUMBLE. That's why we dears love him so much. No star complex at all. Wherever he goes, he's just being himself. So simple. But once on stage, he's definitely a bomb. Thanks for your reactions. I just subscribed:-)
Dimash is more than phenomenal !! He seems to have no limits. I have never heard any one quite like Dimash in all my 64 years !! He was given a gift, most people don't use it when given it - Dimash recognised it - worked hard to refine it and then shared it to the world ! And to top it off - what an inspiration Dimash is. He respects the old and love the young that why he withdraw himself from world Best competition. Because of the children he had to compete with, they lied to Dimash before he sign up, they told him no children in the competition. His London Concert he donated all the money to Children Hospital. He did a lot more but somehow people know that it was him who also help the homeless. God bless him abundantly.

One of the things that always gets me about this performance is that from 6:41 - 7:03 (of your video) is *one single breath*! Even if I could sing that high, I would have passed out long before I got to the end of that phrase.
I watched a 38 minute interview with Dimash. He is definitely one of the most humble guys one can ever meet. In fact, after the interview was completed, the reporter who made the interview kept commenting on how humble and down to earth he found Dimash to be.
Love your reactions!, 👏👏❤️❤️. Yes, Dimash is a storyteller. He uses his impeccable technique and range in the service of the song! And you are correct, he never sings a song the same way twice (with a few exceptions like Olimpico). His different versions of Know and Diva dance (funny you should mention it 😀😀) are amazing. He has several versions of Diva Dance. The first is at Singer 2017 competition in China where he pairs it with an Italian song Confessa. Second is Diva Dance at Shenzen concert where he incorporates a whistle note. Third is a version at his Bastau concert. Fourth, is a duet with a Chinese opera singer Li Yugang. In this one, he combines a traditional Chines opera song Drunken Concubine with Diva Dance. All versions are amazing, but I think you will find the last one especially interesting to react to since it combines western and eastern styles and melodies. Somehow, Dimash makes it work! Of course he does 🤣🤣🤣

Dimash is indeed very humble. On various interviews, when the journalists ask him cheesy stuff like "how is it to have such a special voice", he always says that he's not special and he just tries to do what he loves best and steer more people into good music, which makes him even more special really :)
ps: please check some more facts out about Dimash, he is a very humble young man! Loves his family, they all travel with him when he's on tour. He deserves for the whole world to know him, and I'm convinced that will happen!
He is humble. He was on a singing tv competition in America and he bowed out early because he was going up against two children one of them also from Kazakstan. He wanted them to have the spotlight and opportunities.

The other day I listened to a singer/vocal coach react to this version and one of his other "live" concert versions, and he thought the other version was better. That's how good Dimash is. Also people who have been to his concerts all seem to say he's much better "live". If you still have any doubt whether Dimash is the best vocalist on the planet, how about doing a reaction to his various versions of the "Diva Dance" all in one video. Love your reactions and analysis'. Dimash is by all accounts a genuinely good person with a beautiful soul. Dimash and his father quietly donated all the profits from a 2017 concert to a local Hospital and an Old Age People's Home. Dimash has also donated over 5 tons of food to people in need during the Coronavirus Pandemic without any fanfare. It is only when the media gets a hold of the story that Dimash is forced into the spotlight.

Wonderful reaction. Yup, you're correct in saying that he'll sing it differently, In his Moscow concert 2019 and Arnau concert July 2019, he made variations to the song. Just beautiful. Thank you. Btw, he sung "The Diva Dance" at his Bastau concert in 2017 , do check it out.
He sings only the second half of the Diva Dance aria in the Singer competition and at his Bastau concert. There is an old fancam recording of him including also some of the first part (from before 2017) czcams.com/video/m3FzFRUx7dc/video.html
The Singer version does not have the run that is in the Bastau concert. Dimash lost his voice during the competition and had to be treated to be able to continue, he was probably still recovering, when she was singing it, hence the omission of the run? Would you be willing to do a comparison of all three versions? It would be interesting to see how he evolved in singing that song or what he changed over the course of time.

He is a humble man, he respects all the singers, he songs with Aida Garifullina and Lara Fabian and he ajusted his vibratto separatly to each of them and he not cover them with his power let them space to sing (see Ti amo cosi, by Igor Krutoy) ! This is a fantastic trio: Krutoy, Fabian, Qudaibergen ! It interesting to know that not only he is from Kazahstan, meaning the country of the kazahs, stan=country, now it is an independent country, but for years it was member of USSR and the russian language was imposed ! In russian the sufix ov means man and the sufix ova means woman, his russian name is Kudaibergenov, his kazah mane is Qudaibergen, his CZcams channel has the sign DQ, this means he prefer to be named by his kazah name ! A lot of his choices of songs show us he is very sensitive with the independence fighters or fighters in general (Daididau, Daybreack, and so on). Again, please excuse my english, is not my native language, but I hope you and others will understand what I wrote !
