Nevertheless, Phil did not leave Techno in the prison because he had betrayed him, or turned against him, but rather because he had made a mistake in the written instructions and had genuinely though his friend had wanted him to wait three months not three days.
And then, just when Techno was about to get a pickaxe though his teeth, Phil activated the pearl and saved his friend as he had promised.

I love how anytime we see Ranboo during the fight he's just tryna get up and out of there and Phil's constantly using him as a dang landing pad lmao. I am glad he didn't try to kill him as Ranboo honestly only joined the butcher army cause Tubbo joined. He never took part in the raiding of Phil's house or any events afterward.
Maybe that's why? Sort of a "you idiot, I told you to keep your head down and play dead the first time" sort of thing going on?
I dunno, not really familiar with the lore, I just like watching peoples' animatics. There's some real talent on this site.
As someone who finds the task of learning the entire plot and lore of the DSMP incredibly daunting, thank you for leaving this in the comments so I can slowly piece it all together
my ultimate fear is if philza dies in front of techno for the hellfire brought about by such an event would surely lead to the complete and uter destruction of the whole smp

2:45 I love how SH makes sapnap the mini-boss. Out of the entire doomsday battle he was one of the only people techno had to actually tread carefully around.
And ohh my god phil’s takedown was amazing.
He was actually able to hold up to Techno's massive swings and even when grabbed and flying through the air, he immediately throws a punch. He still eats dirt, but it's much better than literally everyone else.
Techno canonically never saw Phil as a "father" figure but more as a brother that he owed or as his best friend. Truthfully I lean more to the brother story.
Edit this animation was very well done 10/5 star.
Philza really didn't do anything too lethal to Ranboo, he basically said "Stay down kid" without saying it.

I love the implication that Techno fought his way through the tower (castle?) using nothing but his fists (plus that ball and chain) and only used his swords after. Gives me a headcanon idea that Techno got (some of) his Blood God status by fighting entire strongholds of people leaving nothing but rubble and red mush that used to be soldiers, and when asked why, he'd say 'for practice'.

Great chorography in this! You really made use of Techno's massive "absolute unit" design and the flight based tactics Philza demonstrated were top notch additions. I especially liked the meat skateboard and sword heel kick tricks

At least the Doomsday War, where L'Manberg was turned into L'Manhole, was suitably epic, or at least as epic as mincraft combat can be. A ridiculous number of dogs, multiple withers, multishot fireworks, potions, TNT raining from the sky, a many vs one battle, and highly mobile combat in terrain with a lot of verticality. Plus you got panic and chaos in the shared voice chat.

This is such an interesting interpretation of the Dream SMP lore between Techno and Phil. Both are just so cool and capable of kicking butt. I like that Blood for the Blood God quote from this version of Technoblade because due to being a big pig man, he can follow through with what he says he will do.

I really liked how you gave Phil and techno different fighting styles, one elegant, the other powerful. The wrecking ball scene was awesome.
This is the most intense Dream SMP animatic I've ever seen.
At the end, techno should have said, “One of them had a bow.” When Philza approached him then gave him the hat, that would be pretty accurate for him.
so apparently in this universe:
- the butcher army targeted Philza instead of Techno
- Ranboo chose a side
- Fundy stood with L'manburg
- Philza never broke his wings
- Techno dual wields 2 swords (like a certain goat) instead of mastering 1
Interesting AU, captivated by all the frankly magnificent fight scenes. Every single moment was intense, every movement smooth and decisive, and the character design is very, very good
Ranboo didn’t choose à side he was only on the "butcher army "side"" because he was forced by Quackity as seen in the scene where Quackity yell "Quick don’t let them escape" he catch someone running away and force him back to the fight giving him à sword and this person is Ranboo
The reason why ranboo joined was he was peer pressured. And techno and Phil will never lose ;D
in regards to the trend, I think a lot of people just enjoy that "you and me against the world" kind of badassery. frankly, so do I :)
I’m pretty sure this is meant to be the whole server getting revenge for Doomsday somewhere in the future. That’s why Quackity interrogates Phil about sidling with Techno (meaning Doomsday) and you know… already has the new outfit and a scar across half his face. The butcher army had the aprons and those are nowhere to be seen. And that’s why everyone sides agains them, getting back for what they had lost with L’Manburg. Fundy’s with Las Nevadas, not L’Manburg basically. Still doesn’t really explain wtf Ranboo is doing here but I think that’s what is actually going on, dude.

Technoblade never dies
Years later they come back to the sight of the battle to find a bunch of unmarked graves and a single (terribly constructed) house. Inside they see Ranboo, covered in bandages and scars, who takes care of the unmarked graves even though he doesn't remember digging them, nor does he remember those that lay inside. After some interrogation and snooping, they find his diarys, the only link to his memories locked away in a secret room he very clearly forgot about. Only then do they find out that the young hybrid never wanted to fight them, and that he greived for his fallen friends but did not pity them. While he may have dug their graves, they lead themselves to their deaths. He left the graves unmarked, but felt horrible about forgetting the names of those that used to be his closest friends. He decided that upon burying them, he would bury his own memories and move on. The two old warriors felt pity for hurting this child that had nothing to do with their conflict, so they helped him build up his house, his farms, his defenses, even his fighting. And then, once they had taught him how to properly take care of himself, they left. They didn't want to burden his poor, peaceful soul with their violent life style. Every few years they'd return to visit him, each time he'd have forgotten meeting them before, but he always remembered the things they had taught him. On their second visit they learned that he had found and taken in a small zombie piglin child, so they taught him how to raise it. The next time they visited the child had already grown and left the house. A few visits later, he had come back to take care of Ranboo as they aged. Eventually, when Phil and Techno returned, the house was empty, and there was a new fresh grave in the grave yard. If both of them shed a few tears, neither of them said anything about it.

I’m watching this back and remembering the legacy Techno left behind and how he will always be remembered as a Hero, Inspiration, Legend, and Friend. He showed so much compassion towards his friends and never gave up. He truly went down fighting like a true Warrior and great legend should.
The work put into the animation, the emotion in just the expressions from said animations, the voice acting, the fact that it almost follows the actual lore of the dream smp with only a bit of creative writing, this deserves so much more love then it has gotten. Keep up the work Solid Helium, I cant wait to see what else you make in the following years to come.
So no one's gonna bring up how brutal that was to basically all of the dream smp except Phil and techno. It is such a work of art and seeing puffy used as a shield and sapnap eating basically becoming one with the dirt. But I just loved seeing ranboo being used as a trampoline 😁(I love all of these guys but that was some damn good animation)

I love Technoblade's design, specifically. That design with Techno's phrases and PvP skills, I really love that take. Also, beautiful fighting choreography!
this may be a bit of a weird compliment considering how amazing this whole animatic is, but i love how you drew the weapons. something about how simple you drew them makes them feel much more real than when a weapon is made overly fantasized.

Techno is in more of a slouched, low pose, ready to pounce whenever.
While Phil is standing straight up, very gracefully.
also, the fact that Ranboo is never seriously hurt or killed in this is another fun detail.

I love the contrast between Techno’s incredible strength and Phil’s lighter fighting style. Sapnap and Puffy both blocking one of Techno’s swings because in lore they’re fighters is such a cool detail. The sound effects match perfectly with the scenes. 10/10
Also, Sapnap threw a punch at Philza even after being grabbed and pulled off his feet. He put up a fight to the end.

I’d like to see a combat style in Minecraft that can be done with elytra
When 2 players fight with an elytra its mostly just usimg a bow and if u really good a sword, cus u cant hit with that when using rockets. Also most of the time is spent chasing
If I recall Techno used his Trident and Slow Falling potion to launch himself into the air then rain hellfire down from above with his firework crossbow. Not quite an Elytra but I imagine it'd be similar.

@@blockbuilder20k8 if you use a crossbow you can control the direction where it's going and you wont be propeled meaning it wont just blow at your face.
With the voices and the intense action. This gives me the same hype of watching one of the end game cutscenes in a Xenoblade game.

I will miss him, this was the first video I saw about him, I wanted to, like, see the original content he did, I saw some things but I never had time for everything he did, I used this video for motivation, seeing him as a character fights against his own enemies and as a person his cancer gave me strength for my own fights, for technoblade, a friend I barely knew: my final goodbye.

Technoblade reminds me of Hellsing Abridged Alucard. He'll make jokes, make fun of people (in a fun way) and people always think that they can defeat him. but they forget, no one can defeat him. They forget, Technoblade never dies
I love how the combat actually works. It’s clear this guy studied how real combat and fencing is done, instead of just making everything as flashy as they could.

I love how in the jumping out part techno arrives first and arrives like he’s an absolute unit (well he is) then phil landing majestically like an angel well I guess that’s why he’s called the angel of death he literally has the man hailed and respected for his body count and being called a blood god as a ally and while he also can mess everyone up
Not a ally, a friend, a fighting mate, being a friend of techno requires his full respect while being a ally is just pretending to be on his side like pogtopia or L'deadberg
