In the outskirts of Tokyo one square meter of land cost close to 10 lakhs rupees or more , so it may not make sense to grow at that kind of space. But if we go 80 to 100 km from Tokyo land is cheap ( foreigners can't buy) but reaching there Costs too much for highway fee and fuel.
Hello Sai garu, we know that Japan is a developed and advanced country, but we get to see plastic is used everywhere, can you help us understand how the waste management or recycling of plastic works in Japan.
Plastic became the nessary evil in modern human life , due to its low cost, water resistance, flexibility. Japanese are famous for packing and wrapping products, but in olden days they used to with hand made paper, these days it's all plastic. In Japan 100% plastic is collected , if possible recycled otherwise burned , they use extreme high quality micro filters so that plastic smell or dust does not leak in to atmosphere. Heat generated would be used for boilers, hospitals, and heat up government swimming pools etc. Heat energy is well captured. Plastic made into pellets sometimes used in making roads, etc. But plastic and electronic waste is a big pain for Japanese govt. There is a big plastic lobby in Japan , so changes are slow , but govt is determined.

America food is cheaper , land is bigger, labour from Mexico available, nature is friendly, terrain is flat, govt gives high subsidy . Still quality and taste of vegetables may not match Japan, because of high precision farming . in general retail Japanese do not prefer to buy US vegetables though they are far cheaper.
