- For those who loved my Pillow Soft Cheese Rolls, here is my version of Super Soft Donuts which you requested. These donuts stay soft even after 3 days. Please do not make shortcuts. Follow the procedure in the tutorial. You will be rewarded with the softest donuts. Top or glaze them as desired.

omg! I tried this recipe and turned out fantastic! Super soft ang dough. I just had a hard time with the dough coz i put too much water in it. Still, it turned out great! Also, I noticed, the dough turned brown as soon as it has submerged in oil. So i lowererd down the heat to save the rest of the doughnuts. Overall, outstanding recipe. Thanks so much for sharing! I use cling wrap plastic but you can use any plastic.

Hi Chef, if needed to bake this instead of frying, what would be the temp and for how long? Thank you
350F for about 15 -20 minutes depending on the size of your donut. Bake it in a donut pan so it will retain it's rounded shape. I personally prefer to fry it because it is tastier.

So sorry for the confusion. You can use water or milk for the tanzhong.
Chef, can I use almond milk instead of full cream milk?
I have not tried it but theoretically there is no reason you can't since you can even use water if you don't have milk. It is only the flavor that changes.

I am using a 5 quart Kitchen Aid mixer. It has a dough capacity of 1 kilo (meaning 1.2 kilo flour). Thanks for watching!

You have to fry it the day you make it. This recipe was not formulated for overnight fermentation.
