@🌸Alauna🌸 So, first of all, being king doesn’t mean doing what you want. Prince or king, being a leader means understanding and listening to the people. Including Audrey. If Ben really loved Mal, he could tell Audrey it was over. Instead he stayed with her (which in my opinion means a lot, because in the end he loved Audrey) and then he let himself be enchanted obviously. But when the spell has been broken, every time he has to kiss Mal (or when he asks her to marry him) he does so in Audrey’s presence. If that’s not mocking.... There was absolutely no need to make Audrey suffer like this. She didn’t deserve it. Unlike Mal. It’s cruel to kiss another woman in front of a woman who’s even gone bad to be loved by you.

tbh, I feel like Audrey only wanted ben to be queen, because that’s what her grandmother wanted, and her parents, her grandmother put sm on her to be queen of auradon. Both mal’s and Audrey’s parents/grandparents were hard on them besides mal’s dad who she never got to see.

He never told her that he loved her; he never showed her any kind of affection; & he never officially declared his love for her to the kingdom. Now I'm sure that he did care about her & had some love for her, but it was only platonic. As for the drugging incident, Mal was only doing what her mom told her to do. Her mom is a villian; so naturally, she's going to pass her evil ways down to her daughter. Most people do listen to their parents' advice, whether it's good or bad. It wasn't until later when Mal learned that she had a choice about who & what she wanted to be, & she decided that she didn't want to be evil like Maleficent. She had also began really falling for Ben. She didn't "keep" drugging him; she only did it once. When the love potion wore off, Ben could have gotten angry with her, exposed her plans to everybody, & had her locked up or sent back to the Isle of the Lost, but he didn't do any of those things. He forgave her, kept dating her, & allowed her to stay in Auradon. Besides, he was already smitten with her when she first arrived in Auradon with her friends. I really don't get why so many people ship Mal & Harry. Harry is a common pirate while Mal is a half fairy half goddess hybrid. Apart from being villian kids, they have nothing in common with each other. Now I admit that Dove Cameron & Thomas Doherty are couple goals, but their characters would tear each other's throats out. Harry is better off with Uma
Ben is so annoying, like he has no right to “forgive her” after all he put her through. She wasn’t lying when she said he gave away her life, becoming queen was something she had always been promised and worked towards her whole life. I get that Ben loves Mal and wants to be with her, but he never talked to Audrey about it and handed what was rightfully Audrey’s, the position of queen, to Mal. I’m not hating on Mal, I think she’s a great character and I don’t blame her for what happened to Audrey. It’s Ben who frustrates and disgusts me, people who are self-righteous often don’t think of others.
I agree that Ben should have communicated better with Audrey ( after he was free from Mal's spell of course ) but I do not think he's a bad person and he did apologize to her at the end of the movie Also did that give her the right of putting everyone in danger ? The people of Auradon were innocent . She acted like a Criminal and should have been treated as one just like Hades said in the end , it was unfair that she was just forgiven on the spot .
I love how Bens first response is “did someone put a spell on you?” Because he only cares about what Audrey has turned into and is worried about her because she’s not acting like herself he doesn’t judge her for the villain that she’s become or demanded that she set his people free but just chooses to look for peace and the best in people he knows there’s still good in her and knows that despite it all Audrey was always his best friend and that she was only hurt because he abandoned her but what Audrey has to understand is that Ben was spelled and had no intention on leaving her and most likely would’ve broke it off first if not for the love spell plus Audrey did break up with him for Chad so it’s her loss that she lost Ben because he fell for Mal even without a love spell and loved her ultimately at first sight when they first met a connection of which he never had with Audrey because it was just a betrothal between Belle and Aurora to betroth their children most likely. But the fact that Ben was more concerned about Audrey and that he didn’t want her to get hurt other than confronting her and demanding she stop the madness she was in and that she stop putting his kingdom in danger just says a lot about the kind of leader that Ben is he cares more for those around him than what’s going on feeling like he can fix it because yes he cares about his kingdom and subjects but he also cares about his friends and knows that something isn’t right and that Audrey isn’t herself he even says that he liked and misses the old Audrey who was his friend and not the villain that she had become caring more about having her other than threatening and battling her 😮❤️.
i’m sorry but Ben is WAY too forgiving. The way he’s been love spelled not once, but TWICE, in under a year and he forgave both Uma and Mal, and Mal tried spelling him in the second movie to make him forget what happened (before their argument) and now Audrey, who put Auradon under a curse and turned Ben into a beast, and she faced NO repercussions whatsoever. I’m so glad Hades pointed out the double standards between the heroes and villains whenever they do something wrong. Audrey should’ve at least faced some sort of punishment, like putting her under house arrest or something
I mean in Audrey’s case she was being controlled/manipulated by the staff, Uma and Mal should’ve faced consequences considering they did their actions consciously and creepily

I would’ve love to see Ben become evil and be Audrey’s sidekick than useless and annoying Chad, just picture this: Instead of the beast spell she turns Ben evil, a dark version of him so they could have tule Auradon together, once the final battle comes at the tower Audrey turns Ben into the Beast so he could attack Uma and Harry while Mal turns into her dragon form to finally defeat Audrey!!

If she hadn't put that spell on Ben, he wouldn't have dumped Audrey in the first place. That was so selfish of her. But then again, we have to remember who her mother is. Maleficent. Idk why but in this scene Ben seems very fake/annoying when talking to Audrey. Let me explain, first things first, Audrey got her damn heart broken when Mal swooped in (not Mal's fault btw that Ben was infatuated with her at first sight) plus it was a whole betrothal arrangement between Audrey and Ben, so I can understand that, BUT, even when Ben started dating Mal, he should've sat down with Audrey and consulted her and apologized, and been honest with her, as him just saying 'Audrey, I'm really sorry for not being honest with you and kind of cheating on you with Mal, but I really do like her, and you, I do like you, but platonically, but you're still my best friend and mean the world to me, and I want you to know that' as something like this would have made Audrey hopefully understand what Ben meant and made her still feel very special to Ben, which I'm sure she is to him. This brings me to my other issue, we never, and I mean NEVER get a moment to understand or get a deep look into Ben and Audrey's relationship whether it be the platonic side or romantic side. If we got something like this, this interaction to where Ben says he is concerned for Audrey being under a spell wouldn't feel so dry and unbelievable. Since we sadly don't have this, it makes this scene feel like a negotiation rather than genuine concern. I'm sorry, but Rapunzel's Tangled Adventure did a way better job at showing genuine concern for a friend than a negotiation, but then again, that was a series, and it had its flaws, but I did genuinely believe that Rapunzel was genuinely concerned for Cassandra throughout every season, even in Season 3 when Cass was the antagonist, Rapunzel's concern for her was sooo believable and relatable, here in this scene, Ben you just negotiating with no concern.
Can you believe Audrey asking Ben to make her his queen while she is still in a relationship with Chad? She's emotionally cheating on Chad with Ben here. I'm surprised that Ben didn't call her out on it and say, "Hey wait a minute. I thought you were dating Chad now." Sort of makes you think she might have been settling for Chad this whole time; in other words, that she was only with him because the guy she really wanted to be with (Ben) left her for someone else (Mal). Imagine if Chad heard Audrey asking Ben to make her his queen. If I was Chad and I heard that conversation, I'd dump Audrey immediately.

Ben is so annoying, like he has no right to “forgive her” after all he put her through. She wasn’t lying when she said he gave away her life, becoming queen was something she had always been promised and worked towards her whole life. I get that Ben loves Mal and wants to be with her, but he never talked to Audrey about it and handed what was rightfully Audrey’s, the position of queen, to Mal. I’m not hating on Mal, I think she’s a great character and I don’t blame her for what happened to Audrey. I love how Bens first response is “did someone put a spell on you?” Because he only cares about what Audrey has turned into and is worried about her because she’s not acting like herself he doesn’t judge her for the villain that she’s become or demanded that she set his people free but just chooses to look for peace and the best in people he knows there’s still good in her and knows that despite it all Audrey was always his best friend and that she was only hurt because he abandoned her but what Audrey has to understand is that Ben was spelled and had no intention on leaving her and most likely would’ve broke it off first if not for the love spell plus Audrey did break up with him for Chad so it’s her loss that she lost Ben because he fell for Mal even without a love spell and loved her ultimately at first sight when they first met a connection of which he never had with Audrey because it was just a betrothal between Belle and Aurora to betroth their children most likely.
But the fact that Ben was more concerned about Audrey and that he didn’t want her to get hurt other than confronting her and demanding she stop the madness she was in and that she stop putting his kingdom in danger just says a lot about the kind of leader that Ben is he cares more for those around him than what’s going on feeling like he can fix it because yes he cares about his kingdom and subjects but he also cares about his friends and knows that something isn’t right and that Audrey isn’t herself he even says that he liked and misses the old Audrey who was his friend and not the villain that she had become caring more about having her other than threatening and battling her 😮❤️.

i’m sorry but Ben is WAY too forgiving. The way he’s been love spelled not once, but TWICE, in under a year and he forgave both Uma and Mal, and Mal tried spelling him in the second movie to make him forget what happened (before their argument) and now Audrey, who put Auradon under a curse and turned Ben into a beast, and she faced NO repercussions whatsoever. I’m so glad Hades pointed out the double standards between the heroes and villains whenever they do something wrong. Audrey should’ve at least faced some sort of punishment, like putting her under house arrest or something

audrey for hurting auradon: she basically owes and apology to everyone who lived in the place, no matter if she was pissed or not. i learned that the hard way: no one’s really cares if ur actions have a reason, as long as u did hurt others. and tbh, i don’t think her actions are justified. i get the idea that she thinks her life was stolen, but 1) her “life” didn’t really have a guarantee in the first place and 2) it doesn’t matter how pissed u are, u are hurting innocents, auradon’s citizens who didn’t do anything.

Idk why but in this scene Ben seems very fake/annoying when talking to Audrey. Let me explain, first things first, Audrey got her damn heart broken when Mal swooped in (not Mal's fault btw that Ben was infatuated with her at first sight) plus it was a whole betrothal arrangement between Audrey and Ben, so I can understand that, BUT, even when Ben started dating Mal, he should've sat down with Audrey and consulted her and apologized, and been honest with her, as him just saying 'Audrey, I'm really sorry for not being honest with you and kind of cheating on you with Mal, but I really do like her, and you, I do like you, but platonically, but you're still my best friend and mean the world to me, and I want you to know that' as something like this would have made Audrey hopefully understand what Ben meant and made her still feel very special to Ben, which I'm sure she is to him.
This brings me to my other issue, we never, and I mean NEVER get a moment to understand or get a deep look into Ben and Audrey's relationship whether it be the platonic side or romantic side. If we got something like this, this interaction to where Ben says he is concerned for Audrey being under a spell wouldn't feel so dry and unbelievable. Since we sadly don't have this, it makes this scene feel like a negotiation rather than genuine concern. I'm sorry, but Rapunzel's Tangled Adventure did a way better job at showing genuine concern for a friend than a negotiation, but then again, that was a series, and it had its flaws, but I did genuinely believe that Rapunzel was genuinely concerned for Cassandra throughout every season, even in Season 3 when Cass was the antagonist, Rapunzel's concern for her was sooo believable and relatable, here in this scene, Ben you just negotiating with no concern.

I'm surprised that Ben didn't call her out on it and say, "Hey wait a minute. I thought you were dating Chad now." Sort of makes you think she might have been settling for Chad this whole time; in other words, that she was only with him because the guy she really wanted to be with (Ben) left her for someone else (Mal). People eventually get tired of people like Audrey, people who are self absorbed & feel entitled to everything they want. She was toxic; so naturally, they abandoned her. I would have done the same thing. Aurora was going to become queen anyway since she was the only heir to her parents' throne. Obviously, Queen Leah wasn't the best influence on Audrey.
