In my opinion, Queen bees reaction after blitz drink all that alcohol, was concern. Remember, when she said she could taste everyone at her party? blitz wasn’t exactly giving off a very good vibe. So the look she gave while blitz was downing that alcohol, was the moment she could taste his vibe , and it wasn’t OK. She knew he was drinking to numb something.
I honestly wonder if it's a cool play on the sin of gluttony. Like she says over and over again, she is the sin of consuming when you don't need it. So I wonder if people consuming because they feel they need to would irritate her.
@@zaxia_psg She is constantly, passively "feeding" from the emotional energies of those around her (the "shine" of their "Luminescence", technically speaking).
Since it is an empath/vampire psychic ability, she is also experiencing an echo of their raw emotions (but without the context); hence any "broken" feeling tastes "sour" for her, ruining the otherwise "sweet" mix of pleasure and/or "pain & release" the guests get from the "spiced" food, drinks & energizing sounds & smells.

@@zaxia_psgthat makes a lot of sense since bring a glutton isn't just eating in general, it is eating for the sake of eating when you're already okay, so you don't _need_ it, you _want_ it, that just gave me a whole new perspective on the character, thanks!

I love this interpretation of Gluttony. Usually, you see a Gluttony representation as someone over-eating, but I love the idea of a Gluttony representation being the ultimate party host. I definitely am a fan of Queen Bee's design and all-around character, too.
Well, gluttony itself is about exxagerate and overaccumulate, hence why it's deeply linked to greed and lust. It's not just about overeating.
All of the Deadly Sins… both in the bible and in fictional media, are shown to be relatively equal, but they really shouldn’t be. Greed is want for material possessions, Lust is want of physical satisfaction, but Gluttony is indeed overconsumption of anything. You CAN be a Glutton of Greed or Lust or any of the other sins really.

Loona has reallyyyyy bad social anxiety. People are saying she was a bitch to Bee but I get it! The whole “oh you’re so funny, you’re my favorite person here now!” Can come off as condescending, even though Bee was being completely genuine

So, if Bee can kinda taste people's vibes, I wonder if that's why she was so quick to warm up to Loona and call her her new favorite person. Because she could sense that she had a good heart.
Fun fact: bee is voiced by kesha yeah that kesha which explains why it took a long while for it to come out (late note: she didnt sing the song an impressonist sung it)

@@decristal48t's always difficult to get singers on stuff due to their record label contracts. That's why Cotton Candy was written by Kesha, but sung by Rochelle Diamante. Kesha specifically had been involved in a 9 year long lawsuit with her former producer, and it only got settled two days before this episode released. I imagine Kesha wasn't allowed to be involved with any projects like Helluva Boss until the lawsuit was settled, and even now she couldn't sing because then the record label would get royalties, and a small indie animation studio can't really afford to lose any revenue. She was likely allowed to voice act because voice acting is under a different catagory than singing in contracts.
People immediately think "she wanna get f×cked" but in actuality she is just looking for companionship.
She understands she can't be with Tex and is looking to stop hurting by hanging with the new guy. A lot of people rebound like that. She originally wanted friends, which is the point of Tex inviting her to the party.
She found friends and maybe a safer place to store her heart? But her waving was her finally having friends. As she admitted she has none outside of I.M.P.

Exactly. She wanted to go at first because she felt like nobody wanted her there. When somebody actually did, whether his intentions were for friendship or just because he thought she was hot, she felt more involved
Queen Bee (who is voiced by Ke$ha wich is probably why the episode took so long to be out)
Seems like a genuine good person, yes it seems like she gets some sort of energy from the people in her parties, but it seems like she just takes what she needs, she really seemed to like Loona from the start especially knowing she is Tex's friend, no jealousy at all, she wasn't mad when Blitzø beat her at her own game, and she hated to have to tell Loona about him since she was finally starting to get comfortable in the party but she didn't want anything bad to really happen, she got mad at Loona yes but Loona was begining to act a little rude to her as well especially since all she had done at that point was be nice to Loona, a nice characther to be introduced and i do hope we see more of her, but considering how hard it might have been to get Ke$ha i doubt that.
Could just change VA like with striker
There's a chance the singer that replaced Ke$ha for "Cotton Candy" might return as Bee's VA in teh future, in case Ke$ha won't come back, just as Bosco took place for Norman Reedus as Striker.
@@joshmartin156 It wasn't just the VA. "Cotton Candy" was written by Kesha, who was dealing with a lawsuit against her former producer. There was no way a label was going to let them use a song Kesha wrote. The lawsuit was finally settled 2 days before this episode's release.

Her first huge viral video was a Kesha AMV, so getting the real deal on her cast must have been a bucket list item. Too bad she couldn't get to use her for the actual songs, which had to be the original plan and probable cause of the delays/legal issues
Remember S1E3 when Tex told Loona "My girlfriend throws a ton of crazy hound parties" - well, he was right. "Queen Bee of Gluttony" is the reference to nature - the queen bee is leading the hive, right? She's the leader of the Gluttony ring. That's why she's summoning sweetts at the party and she's shape-shifting to get Loona looking after Blitz because Bee's worried he's wasting himself too much.
Noticed the song in the van? It's the song Octavia was listening to in S1E2 - "The world is burning down around you" (it shows Blitz's mood after "Ozzie's")
Fun fact: queen bee mentioned stealing Belphegors drugs. balpegor is one of the many demons with the attribute “Baal,” in this case Baal-Peor. As such, before he became known as Belphegor, he is mentioned in the Bible as the patron of Moab in Assyria, and was one of the false gods that Moses handed down the death penalty for worshiping. Bel also tested marital love by seducing married couples and is also known as the sin of sloth
Beelzebub started as Baal Ze Baal, "Lord Of Lords", before the name was corrupted into Lord Of Flies as an insult. Also, the Sigil in the thumbnail and during Bee's song was Bael's sigil in the Ars Goetia.
The reason why the episode took so long to come out it's because queen bee was played by singer named Kesha who didn't sing the song but co wrote the song but she was trying to get out of her record deal over a lot of things that happened and if the episode was released under her writing the song it would have been sued hard, but she recently got out of the Court battle and probably away from a record deal so there they are themselves freely in nocatee food by the company she was previously under
Bee ( Beezlebub) is the princess of gluttony. The ring where most hellhounds live but also where the orphanage Loona lived is, her adoption paper is even signed by Bee. I don't doubt that Bee is genuine on her persona, she really needs people to have a good time. But I think it's also because you won't come back if you don't, and gluttony is about the excess, the overindulge. If you have a good time you'll want to repeat it over and over
Actually no the adoption paper is signed by Bel which would be Belphegor aka the Princess of Sloth. But Gluttony is probably a hotspot for hellhounds but Loona's orphanage is in Sloth ring.

I love how even though it's not your type of music, you can still acknowledge how much of a bop it is. XD
First Charlie, then Ozzi and now Bee-lzebub. I love how colorful, cheerful and down to earth the 7 Deadly's we've seen so far are (and yes, I'm aware Charlie isn't a Sin herself, but she is the daughter of one).
It's pretty much the opposit to how stiff and poshy most Goetia demons are.
Because the Sins are based on a Circus Troupe, with Lucifer as the Ring Leader and Bee as the Animal Act/Animal Tamer.
I genuinely love that second to last little scene where Loona actually waves to the friends she's made who are not too talkative, but seem to be super nice. As opposed to the horrible Mean Dogs at the beginning. She hasn't gotten a love interest, and that's fine (plus tex told her he had a girlfriend in episode 3 Spring Break, she's known this for ages). But she has found some genuine people to hang out with, which I think it very much what she needs. After all, she grew up in the system... in an actual cage. She can start with friends first and learn how to act/how to recognize what people actually mean when they talk (ie, Beelzebub is actually sharing a similar story with Loona about a similar embarrassment, that's a total olive branch).
Bee is wonderful. After the other Princes of Hell we have encountered, I was not expecting her to be so wholesome. Granted each Hell Prince needs to fulfill their function or who knows what might happen to them, it's nice that Bee's function gets to be "upbeat hostess."
Poor Blitz. But I do need him to chill out a bit. He is thirty five, he's an infant. (I am GenX, I can say this. :D ) And he has HELL AMOUNT OF YEARS. Stop trying to become part of the M's marriage and get to therapy with Stolas, both of you need it terribly. (Is there much therapy in hell though? *pondering*)
Not sure about therapy in Hell, but in real demonology, a good number of the Goetic demons are described as being skilled on the front of teaching and discussing moral and ethical philosophy, as well as other fronts of knowledge. So that comes... somewhat close.
And a number of them don't seem that bad either, Orobas being one of them. He's described in historical demonological sources as being loyal, never lying, and protecting his conjurer from the temptations of evil spirits.
So there's some potential for the creators to apply the Goetic Demons in further interesting ways.

Just a heads up, Queen Bee, as you probably saw in the credits, is short for Bee-zlebub, or Beezlebub, who is supposedly in charge of the ring of Gluttony, which is over indulging in food or drink. Her big sister is Belphagor who is supposedly in charge of the Sloth ring, where the hospitals are. Gluttony is where the parties are. Thus far we have met two leaders/rulers of the rings of hell, Asmodeus/Ozzie of Lust and Queen Bee/Beezlebub of Gluttony.
Say, Shark. After the old animated short “Die Young,” I’ll bet Kesha was aware of Vivzie using her song in that project years back, so she decided to get in on the action by guest voicing as Queen Bee in this elusive episode.
Bee is a fine example of outgoing, free-spirited, and not at all toxic. Since Loona is kind of an introvert, she could use someone like Bee in her life.
Bee shows no malice. Loona went about it wrong is all.
To me Luna really came across as a bitch...
I think it's more likely that Vivziepop saught out Kesha herself, and was so determined about this that she took the risk of getting into legal trouble with her record label.

What I find interesting is that Ozzy and Bee like others to express their respective sin in a positive way. We saw how Bee was concerned at Blitz’ indulgence because it wasn’t from a place of contentment. Which is why I think Oz would hate Valentino, as he uses lust for SA and r*pe, whereas Oz probably wants people to freely and happily lust and accept their desires.
Honestly I could see all the sins having this outlook. Except Lucifer who operates on a league of his own as the king of hell. Pride is a sin concerning ego, and due to this I feel like Lucifer doesn’t want his subjects I.e sinners to revel in their pride because it would undermine his own. Maybe that’s why he facilitates the exterminations? A reminder to his subjects that they can all be easily killed, yet he can’t..he’s leagues above them.
Idk it just seems like an interesting idea to explore…

I'm personally in love with Bee's design, and really do hope we get to see more of her and the other rulers, even if Kesha doesn't come back to voice her.

Kesha wrote the song and also voices Bee, but was not allowed to sing the song due to contracts, which is done by another singer. Bee's (Beelzebub) design consists of features of the fennec fox and a bee. Her lava-like belly is meant to symbolize that everything she consumes is immediately burned, allowing her to continue consuming food, alcohol, etc, without ever having enough. This suits her position as ruler of the Ring of Gluttony.
Like Asmodeus in episode 7, Bee is a ruler of hell and symbolizes gluttony. Each of the 7 sins has/gets a unique design.
Her powers relate to her sin of gluttony.
Gluttony is the incessant consumption of food, drink and other stimulants simply to consume, not to get full.
The song Cotton Candy sums it up pretty well in one sentence "I am what you want, not what you need".
Bee instinctively senses why her guests are consuming and what they want.
Fun fact: bee is actually short for beleezebob which is one of the seven deadly sins and she isn't mad or have alterior motives she feeds off of the feelings and joy of people from her parties so she actually means good
Idk y I'm just putting this together after several watches. Loona left a note saying she was going to a party with Tex at the end of S1E7. I didn't realize it was the same night. Probably because "night" is still very bright in the gluttony (?) ring.

Bee def let Blitzo win. She wasn't close to messed up and she could see that Blitzo was out of it. She knew if she kept going, so would he and that would've been a nightmare
Exactly. She encourages people to overindulge at her parties, but only for the sake of enjoyment, not because they're trying to hide that they're in pain. A party is a place to socialize and have fun, not put on a fake smile and drown yourself in drugs and alcohol to pretend like you're not suffering.
I don't think anyone was expecting Beelzebub of all people to have that kind of moral compass.
Man after Norman Reedus getting Ke$ha to play Bee-lzebub was awesome and man this episode rocks worth the wait and a Loona episode too!! Man love her look and design...while sad she isn't sung by Kesha her singing VA was a good one. Man the Hellhound party ruled!!!!
Ke$ha was on fire in this and I hope we get more family bonding with Loona and Blitzø in later seasons

Encouraging others to be indulgent, and the ability to make drinks and food large, and summon sugary foods, seems to fit the vibe.
I love Bee as she was not what I was expecting from one of the 7 deadly sins, she is nice and adore her design and I want more of her

This episode was super special to the crew, it was meant as a celebration for an entire season and the entire thing is a callback to a video made (in part) by Vivzie where a canine character sings Die Young by Kesha-- who got to voice Queen Bee. It all comes together. I'm glad we finally got to see it :)
Nothing in this episode moves the plot forward but it is a FIRE way to have a season 1 wrap party. And to have Kesha voice the Queen of Gluttony (one of the 7 Deadly Sins) Vivzie must've been so stoked. Side note: Kesha co-wrote the song but she couldn't sing it because of her music label. So she did all the speaking lines but no music work. (Much how Michael Jackson guest voiced on The Simpsons but the duet with Bart wasn't the real MJ)

Gotta say, on second watch I totally get why we weren't given more context on Queen Bee before the song. We needed to be on the defensive just like Loona. Bee is actually a rather genuine person, despite being popular and hot and a lot to take in. She might be a hedonist demon, that doesn't mean she's blind to how destructive addiction and self-entitlement can be, and that's not what she preaches.
Note: maybe NO to shipping Loona and Octavia because 1) Loona’s 22 and Octavia’s only 17, and 2) their dads are probably gonna be endgame, which will make them sisters :/

Honestly in terms of playlist placement you should just put it in the end, because it will make sense with what context you have in the episode and and it makes sense with the real order the episodes came out.
The Big 7 princes of hell were angels right ? Queen Bee seems like the one we saw (yet) that has kept a lot of her good side. She seems like a good person but without inibitions but still cares about her ppl.
It's weird because Bel seems to be an hybrid of sort, which makes me wonder if she is the OG Belzeebub or is like the daughter of it, and the title of prince of the 7 sins is passed down.
I think Asmodeus is actually a Goetia. Possibly both.
(OK, I looked, he is juggling A LOT of roles. He is the embodiment of Lust in Peter Binsfield's works, and had something to do with Solomon's temple though I'm not sure what. And he impersonated Solomon and reigned as king in the Quran until Solomon kicked him out again. In the Talmud Solomon tricks Asmodeus into helping him build the Temple. And he is one of the Goetia Kings as well. Good lord, this is fascinating)

I think the episodd fell a bit flat in terms of writing Luna's dialog, yes she is edgy and defensive but her motive to be that openly annoyed with Bee who is really trying to help and really friendly for hell royalty is not really there, yeah the thing with the valley girl hound happened and she really has a crush on Tex, but there is nothing that would tip her over the edge. Needs a bit more, but I really loved Bees design the choreography and the end dialog
I think it's because for loona, bee, being basically in charge of the adoption system, is partly responsible for her abandonment before she entered the pound where blitzo adopted her. She may have been abandoned more than once, and as a result, sees bee as a reason. But yeah, it could've been made a bit clear.
i think it was handled really well. Loona is an introvert with massive self esteem issues as a result of being in the system until she was 17. socializing is really hard for someone who is used to being treated like they're worthless or a burden.

Nah it's not a good idea to ship Loona x Octavia. Octavia is 16 while Loona is 22. Plus, if Stolas and Blitzo are endgame, that would make them sisters. It's a very iffy ship overall.
This ship has literally no ground but I'm going for Loona x Satan. Bee and Loona seem to have similar tastes so she'd probably like him and if he also gets enhanced by Wrath like Bee gets from Gluttony, he'd probably go really well with her.
Octavia is 17, but still, No. No shipping. I'm hoping they will become good friends, maybe sisters.

She has (or had? unsure) a lousy manager who has been trying to take ownership of her work, as far as I know. So she was allowed to to the voice acting, but not the singing. As far as I know this has been going on for a while and it's awful. (Not a fan, know very little about her, but I still think the situation is sucky and grossly unfair.)

This episode was very disappointing
Loona is interested in men and not in both genders, why can't people accept that there are people who are interested in one gender in this show?
Was that confirmed?
@@Hana_H It is literally shown in the show that she is only interested in men and specifically men of her kind (Hellhounds), there was no evidence or sign to show otherwise.

Not every episode needs to be plot heavy lol
I’ve noticed a pattern that a lot of HB episodes have silly premises or plots and then it hits us with a super deep ending, like the Western Energy episode with Stolas and this episode with Blitz worrying that he’ll be alone
Nothing important was supposed to happen in this episode. It was just meant to be a celebration of the end of the first season. That’s why they didn’t really care about starting season 2 without releasing this episode.
@@revolution2762 I think important things happened in this episode, actually. 1. Loona found some friends, for one, even if they didn't talk much. They put a fair amount of time into that last cute waving scene, just enough, not too much, and Loona gave a genuine smile. 2. Loona actually acted proud of her father and called him Dad, *twice*, which did not happen until this particular episode. 3. I'll even give Loona a "getting away from toxic frenemies trying to make fetch happen" achievement. 4. We learn a lot about Blitz's mental state (all of those pictures of himself that he scratches out), and that both he and Stolas need to get some serious therapy stat (ok that's just me adding that in there).
It's an ending to the season that kind of ..."redeems" is not the word I want. It gets deeper into the soul of Blitz. These characters want things, but won't admit that they do, or refuse to believe in the other regardless of how much they want to, but we mainly hear it in Stolas' music (since he is the Broadway actor Tony runner up guy, I guess?) And in how assaulty his wife has been to him since who knows how long before they even married. ("He just lies there and stares at the wall" is *disassociation*
even in Hell.)
I will say that this little ending here makes me a lot less impatient with Seeing Stars, though it did still feel like some plot points had been left out.
