Story Time: My dad's side of the family has never had a girl, so when the doctor said I was a girl, they didn't believe them so they bought me a bunch of boy clothes and one girl piece, and I came out a girl. OOF
I have a similar experience. On my dad’s side it’s always been two boys and on my mom’s side it’s always been a girl and a boy. Then along came me and my sister who are both girls.

This does still happen occasionally, but ultrasounds are much more advanced now than they were awhile back. :)

Fun fact: In Missouri, where I live, if the father really wants the baby to be a boy, he can sit on the roof, by the chimney, for 7 straight hours and they are almost guaranteed to get a boy. But this is just one of Missouri's many superstitions, so I wouldn't do this unless you absolutely believe in superstitions
Ok the ring test: You take a strand of your hair and loop it around your engagement/wedding ring. You can hold it anywhere not just over your stomach. The test counts pets so when it swung in a circle it was counting dexter then her baby girl after.

So it is completely illogical for someone to say that because you had a girl once, means you are likely going to have a girl again, thats not how it works. It's truly random unless a man is somehow only capable of producing sperm with x chromosomes

I'm much better at the allele sorta thing which was kinda how I was thinking about it but for chromosomes maybe it's something along the lines of a coin filp? If it is the coin filp I usually get the same thing over and over so to me, at least it makes a bit of sense?
