I'm not aloud to go to a certain extent, but I reccomend getting a bunch of graphic t shirts of bands and stuff u like. Also necklaces, bracelets, rings. U can find some stuff that is subtle but still has the same vibe

As a hot topic employee, we see a bunch of adults!! A lot of them have stuck with their darker looks and I love that. Mushrooms are a big part of the cottage core aesthetic which in HT is Thorn and Fable.

The mushroom stuff goes with certain aesthetics such as cottage core. Also, alternative people have an obsession with mushrooms
As a chronically online Hot topic enjoyer I can give you a reason for why mushrooms are so popular. A lot of people like what's called a cottagecore aesthetic which is basically just the aesthetic embodiment of elf lesbians being cute living in mushroom houses and having picnics. The reasons mushrooms are so ingrained into this is because mushrooms are so cool! They're tiny have cute polka dot patterns and fit with the nature vibe. Also not really related but I would totally dress in the stereotypical emo punk style associated with hot topic if I didn't go to a public school. Middle-schoolers are scary man and I already get anxious just walking into Hot topic because I think the cashiers are judging me.
As a lesbian who love mushrooms and cottage core stuff I feel targeted

If you want to dress in a specific style, you could try wearing it only at home at first or when you go out in settings unrelated to school. If you're worried about people judging you, you can try buying things online first! But also, they're most likely not going to care what you buy because it's their job to sell you things, not to judge what you're buying. Explore your style, have fun! It's easier to do that when you're younger

I love dark Lauren. I love dressing like this, not usually in my everyday fashion but whenever I go out. I'm trying to slowly convert my wardrobe into stuff like this because dressing like this actually makes me feel confident and attractive and like I'm wearing stuff I want to wear instead of just what's convenient. It's weird the comment about the fishnets because the first thing that struck me when I got my first pair of fishnets was that they were actually really comfortable and I did not expect them to be at all.

There is a lot of "leaf" inspirsed wear at hot topic, but the mushrooms arent like that surpriseingly! :D. Mushrooms are poupular at spencers, claires, hot topic, ect because its in the mystical, magical, and/or cottage core astetic meaning almost anyone can love them! Mushroom designs have just really skyrocketed over the last year and although most are cute my favriote and the gernally most exepcted mushroom is the red and white mushroom. : ) hope that helps!
