Im Zweiten Weltkrieg wurde der Film gedreht, im Sinne der "Geistigen Landesverteidigung", eine Feier der nationalen Einheit, es gab noch mehr solche Filme, zB. 'S'Margritli und d'Soldate'. Die richtige 'Schilbärte' sah aber ganz anders aus, war aber auch sehr hübsch.
Der Film Gilberte de C. und das Lied sind ein absoluter Kitsch alles lässt sich im Voraus erraten. Filme wie *Es geschah am hellichten Tag* *Das Boot ist voll* *Schweizermacher* sind Werke welche qualitatif ein gutes Niveau haben.
