Honestly this is so great it's hard to believe a human did it. It's not just the combats, think about all the corners and jumps to narrow spots, all greatly done, in sequence. Really mind blowing. Amazing.

he beat that slayer gate in 38 seconds... it took me about 4 attempts that in total took about 20 or 30 mins. absolutely wild precision

Watching Doom speedruns really adds another layer to the "demons fear the slayer" bit when he can do all this in under 2 hours
I'm pretty sure even base game Eternal takes place over like, 3 days max. The Slayer decimated the planet-wide demonic invasion in less than a week. Speedruns are definitely taking that to the next level.
I literally just started playing this game… is it really possible to move like this?! The way you swung around with the meat hook and how you don’t seem to even grab climb walls before zooming off seems beyond the physics I’ve experienced. Makes me think I might as well be a tortoise by comparison. Truly impressive!

I just finished playing DooM Eternal myself yesterday and of course I wanted to see how a real master will reveal the full potential of fighting in this game, and then there's the speedrun. I am in the wildest delight, I have never seen such an unreal massacre. At first, I even thought that I turned on the video at double speed, but I was mistaken, this speed was normal. God, Doomguy is just flying around the arena. I exclaimed HOLY FUCK twice in the video at particularly wild moments in which I myself crawled like a snail. God bless the speedrun and the masters of the craft. Thank you for showing me the most BRUTAL, MEAT, UNSTOPPABLE DOOM of all. RIP and TEAR!

I recently started replaying this game, trying to beat it on Ultra-Nightmare which I've never done before.
Beat it a few months ago, was so worth it
You can do it! If you’re having trouble then start with The Ancient Gods 2 on ultra nightmare. It’s the easiest of the 3, and it’ll give you a great confidence boost lol.

@@tizianoh8662 I’m not saying it’s not hard, I’m just saying overall, considering the length of the main campaign and the difficulty of TAG1, TAG2 is the easiest to clear on ultra nightmare.
TAG 2 Reclaimed earth last room was no joke on latest patch.
We need a Doom movie based on the "new" series of games and it should definitely looks like this. Not just first person camera angle but the "flow" MUST be this. Astonishing job, man!

- how well the game is optimized - not a single stutter within the entire extremely high paced playthrough (this is not a given, no matter how beefy one's machine is)

I kinda updated my hardware, the patch that removed the anti piracy was released and I OC'd my system, so now I got finally 180 fps. I am trying to master all the strats right now and memorise fights. it will take me a while before I actually go for the record.@@TheRadiantSoap_

I know the combat would be super difficult to master, so I don’t want to downplay it. But honestly I’m more impressed by the movement/traversal. Congrats on the WR!!
My favorite part of mobility shooters is the mobility itself. Once you master it, shooting becomes more of a timing game since you already have movement nailed down.

There's a link in the video description that gives explanation on what Restricted means. If you watched any 100% runs of this game before, it's very likely they were also done under Restricted ruleset.
