Wow you can see her power and talent on floor and vault, and also her general focused and poised demeanor (I adimire that about her, her mental strength and consistency). And you can also see how hard she worked on bars since then
If she only knew the amazing journey she would embark on in the sport… world champion team member TWICE, heartbreak as an Olympic alternate in 2016, stellar collegiate career and then an Olympic silver medalist!! What a legend.
But, exact SAME form on her back acro series on the beam. Also her technique on her turn on the beam never changed from what it was here. Just totally interesting.
I recall her talking about having tight tendons- not good flexibility. More difficult to keep legs looking straight and flexing ankles fully. I think she did the best she could with what she was working with 😅
Wow! She’s come a long way. She looks so different now. No facial comparison from a child to teen to adult because it would look like 3 different people! She looks so different now!
I truly believe if they would've invested in her bars forms she would've been in any all around competition, specifically her releases which could've given her a much higher start value, she clearly had power which she could've used to make up for lack of flexibility, they really did wrong not investing in those type of skills
Prior to her catching Covid she was supposed to have a bars routine that was meant to be the most difficult bars routine but she never got a chance to compete it as Covid has weakened her a little bit so her bars wasn’t as difficult as they had originally planned
@@Diana-kk6qz a little, but then I remember that it is EXTREMELY rare to see 13 year olds at her level and that most people my age would be in platinum too.
@Diana-kk6qz it doesn't matter where you start but where you finish. Kathy Johnson didn't even begin gymnastics until age 12 and became an Olympian at 24. These days, women do gymnastics into their 30s, so there's no rush.
A very talented and beautiful girl. She remembers me at Nadia Comaneci, a famous girl from Romania, many years ago. In any case, I wish her much success furthermore and never to have an accident.
@@andreagrey6097 not necessarily, i don’t remember ever seeing her compete a half on half off, but the same issues could have happened when she learnt that vault too, i think it was a issue of very very early twisting which thank goodness she fixed in her last year competing
@@andreagrey6097 lol she lost so much time trying to cheat it. I think she started the one handed cheng around 2013. 7 short years later she figured it out
Not many people look completely different as a child to what they look like as an adult. But she does. I can't even see a flicker of her adult face in young Mykayla
I'm amazed at the instant speed that gymnasts get on take off into a jump and the height they get from it, beside the amazing memory it takes to get a routine down like they do

Honestly she was so good!! Im really glad she made it to the olympics.
Almost another lifetime later, her dream of going to the Olympics came true!
My heart ❤. I love this “old home video”
Wow she had awesome energy then 👏 I'm so happy she got that sliver medal 🏅
Tem que tirar o chapéu é determinada com 13 anos fora de série orgulho
she had the same "just let me live thru this" face before her routines as she does now
She had better form here on some events than as an elite

Thx for posting!
Good performance! Great job! Great girl! Yay for her trainer and her parents also!

Practice makes perfect
before she was a superstar
This floor music will always remind me of Tasha Schwikert
I can’t believe she was doing all this crazy stuff at 13. I’m 13 and I’m in platinum 😂
Does it ever make you feel sad? I’m definitely upset sometimes.. I’m 13 and platinum too

Awww, baby Ma kay may
Linda graciosa e espetacular brilhante ginasta
She's so beautiful
Well that was adorable
my favorite gymnast ever!
I wonder when she started doing her vault with just the one hand.
When she realized she couldn't get the Cheng around doing it correctly lol

I m going to try this tomorrow, don't tell anyone. What I'm going to do.🍺
The ponytail 😄

I can see it, without her lashes or makeup
It's more obvious in profile
I can see it in her smile, she has the same smile
Are you serious.. she looks just like her adult self. She doesn’t have makeup on-she’s a child.
Maybe she wears a lot of makeup nowadays
super
What music is this?
Wow time flies man!!

blonde pretty and all nonwhite so jealous
Helo love you
Graceful Perfection Beautiful!!! Solid Stick!!! Perfect 10!!! 🔥🌹❤️ Go For The 🪙🥇!!!
I like watching the Olympic gymnasts when they were just little squirts. So cute!
‘she’s done camps at the ranch’ didnt age well
Would love to be her brother!
She is The Mykayla Skinner?..She did have the trademark FX power..
She is not Nasty Looking at all !
Ma Kay Kay? I think she is a little too old for that
Грязное исполнение, при вращении уводит, оступается.
She has always been so clunky on floor! You’re supposed to make this look effortless, not like you’re about to break!
That’s her lack of flexibility
She is 13! Time to enhance her artistry.
@@Thunderpaws111 Mykayla is not 13 lol she is in her mid twenties I believe 🥴
I stand corrected!!
Russian gymnasts are much better ! Russian girls are champions !
