    Wait, why isn’t the bonesaber in there, it’s like the hottest bat after the icon.

    Just ordered a 27/17 icon in USA for my son to begin training with for this season. Feels good and has a killer matte finish. Definitely has a more endloaded feel due to its shape but the sweet spot is huge compared to others, definitely a bigger sweet spot than the adv. if you have a power hitter I’d get the adv but if you have a contact hitter I’d opt for the icon. My son is tall and thin and not yet bulked out , so he’s relying on good mechanics and a nice sweet spot to get the ball out there

    Do you think the Rawlings icon is better then the Easton ADV? Been looking at the icon for months just have a hard time finding any info on USA version

      The ADV is a great bat. It was left off this list because it's a 2023 model. Not sure if it is continuing into 2024 or if there will be a new model. But the ADV also has a huge barrel with a large sweet spot and is well balanced. If looking for a full composite bat, which in my opinion you should be in USA, the ADV is a great choice.

      @@SmashItSportsSIS My 12u son just swung a bunch of bats today, the ADV included. We went with the ICON drop 8. If your close or live in to NJ, closeoutbats in westwood lets you swing any bat in their inventory in their cage. We were originally looksing at the ADV or Bonesaber but he liked the ICON the best. I'm suprised the bonesaber is not on here. Its a hell of a bat. It was my boys second pick.

      no select power?

      What I have seen on a hit track and game day is in USA the Prime has the highest exit velo for -10 composite, the PWR Select/Select is heavier in -10 but is gas. -8, and -5 Select all the way.
      I am a reviewer for Amazon. I have an ADV1, Easton and Rawlings send me bats and other equipment. The ADV1 is aweful. Honestly the green Meta is better if you just want light, but neither are the Prime. Average 9yo will have a 6-8mph minimum gain on the Prime over the ADV1. My 9yo is 54mph with the Prime, 44 Meta, 38mph ADV1. My 10yo is at 61mph in the Select, 58 Prime, 45 Meta, 40MPH ADV1.
      USSSA is a different story for bats, though the ADV1 still is just not good.
      The Icon looks promising, but reliability may be iffy. The Prime lasts, the Select is probably the most reliable two piece ever. The Select is super popular in D1 for a reason.
      Look, I get Rawlings and Eastons for free. I buy and out fit my kids and team with Primes and Selects for USA divisions. I typically buy new in the packaging Primes and Selects for $110 to 140. Used very good condition $80.
      Also the Prime and Select are the most cushioned from sting as well.

      My 12U son is trying to get to decide between Rawlings Icon and Marucci Cat-X Connect drop 8 for each. Any suggestions?

    I know i chimed in on the speed drop 13 that my son cracked 2 of them
    Easton sent me the speed 31 inc drop 10 and after 4 swings with me pitching something broke in the in side.
    So what bat should i go with?
    Catx 2 drop 8
    Bones drop 8
    Thank you
    He will be 12 next year
    Hes a contact hitter
    Batted a 641
    5 strike outs

    • @SmashItSportsSIS
      @SmashItSportsSIS  Před 6 dny +1

      Most likely a piece of glue that holds the end cap on came loose if it sounds like something is rattling inside. Nothing to really be concerned over.
      But if looking for a new bat, and he is 12 I would consider something in -5 weight as in most placed high school ball requires BBCOR which is -3. So better to make that jump now, than having to go from a -10 or -8 to a -3 bat.
      If durability is your biggest concern the CatX2, Rawlings Icon, or the Soldier Tank would be my top picks.

      Checkout our closeout section for the most affordable. But for new 2024 models, I would suggest looking into the Marucci F5 or the Speed Comp.

    The Rawlings Threat shown in this video is a USSSA bat isn't it?

    • @SmashItSportsSIS
      @SmashItSportsSIS  Před 3 měsíci

      There is a USA version that is essentially the same color.

    • @nothinggoldcanstay75
      @nothinggoldcanstay75 Před 3 měsíci

      Correct the USA version is predominantly orange whereas this is definitely the USSSA bat. Might confuse viewers and they may inadvertently purchase an illegal bat that they can't use during their Little League games or tournaments.
