We took a trip in the F250 to check out the September 2019 Skyhigh Car Audio BASSheads BBQ meet. It's always a good time with some super loud systems! This one is the first one of the day.
This was definitely louder this time than last time! The last time i heard this system back in April, he was missing 2 of the 6 18" subs and one of his 12k amplifiers. The box also had some flex to it. He has the subs, the amp and the box all dialed in! And what a demo it was! Wow! this thing was intense! I can't wait to hear what he does next. 36,000 watts for six 18" subwoofers? Dang, and here I am severely under powered with my 6 x 21" and 6 x 18" subwoofer system with under 17k watt of pro audio equipment in my home theater. lol!
I still need to order a couple of 12k watt SpeakerPower amps to fix that up, but I doubt it'll still come close to that system due to space differences. Audio fascinates me regardless of where it's applied in, home, vehicle, it makes no difference to me. :)

The amps say 12k but In reality I’m only clamping about 4-5k from each.
At sealed peak each sub is getting roughly 2k.

I seen the voltage drop I seen was about to 12.5. I seen he had a few alts under there but didn't see what battery power he had. I thought I seen a limitless sticker. I'm curious to what all his electrical consists of.
We were having issues with belt and belt tensioner.
Before that weekend it was
3-370’s and a stock alt.
Here it was
4-370’s
Day 1 of the BBQ the tensioner and belt gave out and we replaced it at BBQ.
The new belt wasn’t holding up either.
Voltage wouldn’t drop under 13v before the belt issues.
Shane DriftKing M3 Turner it meters about 1db louder on fresh voltage when it doesn’t slip

I gave up on Taramp amplifiers... burned 4 5Ks in 4yrs. I think it’s the humidity, in Hawaii close to the beach, where I live. It’s not my electrical, with 2 XS power batteries/big 3 and 300amp alt... and I’m only running 2X 18” ZV5s.

Tido Bass yeah it was the HD. Maybe I’ll give the MD a try if my Skar SKv2 4.5k.1 breaks. Not as powerful as the Taramps, especially once it gets hot but it’s seems to be working fine after 5 months of daily use.

I have a question how many watts can 2 12" handle?. I just got my license and i have 2 12". I have a 1,000 watt amp hooked to them but it's under powered?.... They have no markings on the subs them selfs. So i have no idea??.
Never go by max power handling
Depends on the build to be honest.
Since there’s both mechanical and thermal power handling many things can influence how much they can take. Enclosure being a big influence In power handling.
