- When Rusty gets fed up with Fred's illnesses, Atlas tells a cautionary tale. After all, he's seen a similar situation before and it didn't end well.
Thank-you to the voice actors, modelmakers and others involved for keeping this video under wraps. I appreciate it.
Thomas and Friends copyright Hit Entertainment. No profit is being made from this video. - Zábava
Okay folks, I'm going to make one thing clear for those unfamiliar with the intro to this episode. It is from a series called TUGS, as is the character of Ten Cents. It is not a copy of the one done by Victor Tanzig. His first video with that intro came out a year AFTER this one. He's probably done his as a TUGS tribute, too.
Atlas should’ve went to the works and to not stop at crovans gate
@@rockyfanatic6846 The works are at Crovans Gate.
WildNorWester where did atlas come from
I really like how Atlas told Rusty about a adventure he had with two steam Tug boats. I guess Atlas's fire had been built up just before the accident?
@@WildNorWester I love how you cross the two series over its amazing
'Oh hello atlas......ATLAS!?'
My favourite line ever mate!
Sir Handel's double take when seeing Atlas for the first time is hilarious!
Oh, hello Atlas. *Atlas?!*
"Oh, hello Atlas. ATLAS?!?!"
OMG TUGS I NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD SEE THE DAY WHEN THOMAS AND TUGS WERE COMBINED!!!
Great now I want real show to do that.
Hmm tugs in CGI sounds good
yeah
Nope, tugs cgi
It's like thomas and friends and tugs are having a crossover and really miss the TV show tugs
Very nice crossover episode!
Sounds to me as if Fred is the Narrow Gauge version of Derek.
Or Boco when he first arrived. In real life, his basis wasn't the most piratical of diesels built. It's written somewhere in the Railway Series that some rebuilds helped to fix Boco's problem.
*****
Makes sense.
I was kind of thinking more along the route of say Dennis & Norman.
DarthWill3 mixed with a little bit of Stanley, the Mid Sodor Railway's first no 2, being deliberately difficult too.
More like, Der-nis. He’s lazy when unwell, so a mix between Derek and Dennis.
When the TUGS came in my jaw just dropped. Didn't expect that but loved it!
I wasn't really much for TUGS. Or crossovers (especially in fan projects). But wow, was this a fantastic breath of fresh air!
That ten cents voice is on point
It was a really bold move to incorporate TUGS in, but you pulled it off extremely well :) Nothing about the tugs' inclusion felt forced or jarring, mentions of other characters like Zorran felt natural, and above all the interactions were great :)
Must say also it's great to finally see what your model making skills did with Ten Cents, he looks incredibly detailed, and the lovely water effects in TANE made the visuals all the better.
Amen. Crossovers can be tricky to get right. Tugs had a different writing style from TTTE so it really is something to see how well this turned out. I would ordinarily see them as separate universes but after seeing how well the characters interact without feeling out of place; it's like they were in the same universe all along. :)
TheBlueE2 when did you become the voice of Sir Handel in WildNorWester's series?
Thank-you. I wasn't sure how it would come off.
@@WildNorWester did the tramway where Atlas was bought by close down?
@@quarrylocomotiveproduction5439 Yes.
I nearly cried when the TUGS intro music started playing :´)
Well done Dan this is without a doubt the best episode of STMY yet and not just because it has TUGS in it but it was just very enjoyable!
TheGermanofSodor I never saw you cry before. Not being rude to you.
I love when atlas says the tugs intro
All this time I though, What if Thomas and Friends and TUGS were set in the same universe. But when I saw this I was like, OMG!! Great mix!!
I love how you incorporated Tugs into your series.
Wow! Never expected Ten Cents! And Drollan, I thought he was an engine but a tugboat is way better! And I love how you let Atlas narrate the story! Nice touch. Amazing episode!!!!
I don't really keep up with Thomas videos these days but I always have to make a point of seeing what you do next. Some episodes have been hit or miss at times but this has been a truly outstanding series that I have followed for at least 5 years and I have no regrets for doing so. This was certainly a very unexpected outing; Tugs & the RWS together? Well there was enough creative backbone to make it work. Great voice actors too; really brought it to life. On another note the water looks absolutely splendid with Trainz: A New Era. It was a great idea to switch to it.
Thanks :-). I was a bit unsure how it would go down.
I admit I never would have expected this to work without feeling out of place but it just blends together seamlessly. It's certainly a sight to behold considering how different TTTE and Tugs are. Well done on successfully combining the two. :)
@@WildNorWester so Atlas is going to be working alongside Rusty and Fred as one of the maintenance engines from now on right ?
Duncan's model is beautiful.
Beautiful episode duse
I agree with you.
I absolutely love this episode!!! TUGS and Thomas together, great idea!
Wow! Love the use of Tugs, Part 2 is going along well! Well done yet again!
TUGS! OMG! TUGS! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! You've gotta do a TUGS-based series sometime - there isn't enough TUGS stories on the internet, and there's so much more we can get out of our seacraft friends at Bigg City Port!!!!
i must say for someone that havent seen tugs this was interested
T-T-Tugs?! Well I'll be.
Certainly a change in pace! I certainly wasn't expecting this! Great work as always, Dan!
Drollan looks remarkably similar to a Z-Stack from the old series.
Maybe he is criminal in a way even his name is similar to Zorran of the z stacks
Ryan Shimko I highly doubt it. I don't even think he is a criminal to begin with. It could just be a coincidence after all.
Most likely just pointing it out is all
Well that was a smashing Surprise.
Great episode, mate! Loved the usage of TUGS as well. :)
I hope Ten Cents play more roles in the future... perhaps an episode around how he got to England.
Sir Handel/Falcon’s reaction was priceless ☠️
Freaking brilliant moment when the tugs theme played in my ears
That TUGS reference really took me by surprise, I was not expecting that at all. But you made it fit so well, I love how you made the intro make its way into the video. Fantastic work. :)
OH MY GOD, TUGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I died when the theme song started.
Surprise! :-)
WildNorWester I don't know those new actors you brought in can you tell me who they are via PM and tell me their channel names
May you rest in peace.
The cast is listed in the credits
+WildNorWester Atlas' return to the show last week was a nice birthday gift to me, because it was uploaded last week.
I have to say, you've done an amazing job as usual. I especially liked when Falcon a.k.a. Sir Handel saw Atlas and said, “Oh hello Atlas. ATLAS?!” That had me laughing to myself.
Legit that bit where Drollan’s barges are shown to heading towards Atlas’s tramway I got constant chills up and down my spine, even on my 3rd or 4th viewing of the episode.
I like how Duncan is still in his yellow livery.
He'll be in 'Carlin Yellow' for the rest of the series.
Great!
Great. Wild you predicted the future. Now we have big mickey in the animated series and soon we will have ten cents.
Bravo!
Hey look, it's Kevin's brother! 3:16
Funny enough I old enough to remember Tugs & the older thomas and friends but young enough to enjoy the these episodes (I'm 1988 baby).
That was brilliant :) always nice to see another part of the island back in its heyday and loved the use of the tugs as well lovely combination :)
This is amazing! Loved the tugs references, as well as the fantastic models! Great work once again!
Great story as always. Well done, Wildnorwester.
This is a great series, Daniel. I've been binge watching it for a while all the way from STEY.
That ten cents voice sounds just like ten cents from TUGS!
I absolutely love this episode! Love how you merged the Tugs universe with the Thomas universe! The story was written great, and the music was beautiful! Can't wait for the next episode! :)
Oh my god I nearly cried when I heard TUGS I love it! Best episode by far!
I am NOT gonna even lie, I died laughing when you started the tugs bit.
I loved the tugs intro! Although it’s cringe with all these people thinking you copied Victor Tanzig.
Awesome that you put ten cents in this episode
Wow didn't expect this kind of story, great job.
I gotta say I really wasn't expecting tugs in this but you pulled it off to make it quite a great episode. well done and definitely looking forward to seeing whats in store. As always :P Out of curiosity, Did you make the tugs models?
I did, yes.
Well, They look great. :)
I love the tugs reference. Well done.
I was never much of a TUGS child back when it came out, but I did love this episode XD
Glad to see Duncan still had his Yellow paintjob in the beginning of the episode.
A fine piece of work! Looking forward to more!
MORE TUGS WE NEED THE WHOLE CREW!
Nice to see Tugs,Keep up the great work
That intro was amazing!
0:38 oh hello Atlas ATLAS
atlas looks very nice with the dark blue paint and side plates
I loved watching TUGS, still do occasionally
through 3:42 to 4:31 i was like wwwwwwwhhhhhhhhaaaaaaattttttttttttttt
Nice callback to TUGS. Awesome.
Best episode of STMY season 2 pat 2 so far.
FANTASTIC!!!!
I love this great work
awesome work mate and tugs wow i did not see that coming
Wow I really like THE new models and faces
This one is my all time favorite because I’ve always liked crossover episodes
AWESOME!!!
Oh thanks, I had a TV on and I didn't hear that thanks WildNorWester :)
can you please fix the tugs in trainz 12 the faces are black i can't see them? (plz answer)
A fixed version went up on my website last night. As for the Harwick route, it can't be used in versions of Trainz below TANE as it was created in TANE.
That Ten Cents voice is SPOT ON
Best story by far WNW.
Awesome video! I really liked how you used a TUGS character in this story :)
Oh cool Lad Ten Cents has arrived on CZcams Screen.
It's good to see the tug boats from Tugs. It's been a while since I last seen and heard of that show. Keep up the good work. Please do more Episodes like this also what is the Episode that continues from this
I'm already starting to see the benefits of filming in T:ANE. Faces can be changed on the fly, and the water looks lovely.
I definitely remember seeing Atlas on the Mid Sodor Railway with Stuart Falcon Duke and Andreas But I remember when Andreas did not like Atlas 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Ah, so this is the Cronk and Harwick Railway in your headcannon. Pretty cool.
Love it
Genius, Just pure genius!!! One of the best episodes I've ever seen!!! Thank you, Please tell me if you've going to do an episode in which Ten cents meets Thomas!!! That would be excellent!!!!
Wait and see :-).
1st it's Zed-Stacks not Zee-Stacks & 2nd when Atlas talks to Ten Cents about Drollan if you look at the background you can see two small cranes that resemble Kevin from the SteamWorks
First off, TUGS was set on the east coast of the United States; they only reason they say "Zed" instead of "Zee" is because the production crew was British. Secondly: yeah, I noticed those cranes too.
Your TUGS models are very well made, and the guy you got to play Ten Cents sounds almost exactly like the original if memory serves me correctly
Voice acting was amazing for Ten Cents
TUGS, what about all the other star fleet tugs
Wow! This was the last thing I was expecting but amazing nonetheless! I love that model of Ten Cents! Did you make that? Also, will we be seeing Drollan again?
(p.s i love your videos)
This episode is all about watercrafts, harbors, seas, rivers and bays.
I liked when Sir Handel was so shocked to see Atlas 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Blue atlas with side plates looks pretty cool
After watching all 13 episodes of TUGS, I think I have a better understanding of Ten Cents as a character. In those episodes, while Ten Cents is like a more mature version of Thomas, he's still a bit more on the inexperienced side, often turning to the likes of OJ and Hercules for advice - which he often passes onto Sunshine. This is probably why he didn't notice Dollan pushing his work onto him at first, he didn't have his friends to steer him in the right direction (that's a bit sad he's not in contact with them anymore, but that's besides my point). But as time goes by, he starts to realise what Dollan is doing to him is wrong, and he learns to stand up on his own metaphorical feet.
Calm the hell down Rusty it's not Fred's fault he just gets sick because he was built with a bad engine because he was built from two worn out diesels
when the next episode comes
Same time next week, as usual.
Are you going to include other tugs characters later on?
I just got TUGSed and I love it
"Oh hello Atlas-ATLAS?!" XD
too classic
The best part of the video
@@Lapel19845 indeed
Sweet
"Oh, hello, Atlas... ATLAS?!"
That's pretty funny.
Wow, I almost got misty eyed at that TUGs opening.
What does that mean?
+Jake Dickson emotional!
Me too
Crossing the RWS with Tugs
love it
Its a beautiful reference
And I got the fandom has basically agreed that tugs is Canon to Thomas
Hate it
