I have been missing Petra the last few years. There are so many wonderful Christian rock bands out there but NONE of them even COMPARE to Petra.

this is great. I love how you can hear each part played in rehearsal as the camera goes to each band memeber. If live mic idea was indentional on the mobile cam, what a cleaver idea. awesome video of one of my favorite songs!!!
CCM REWIND the footage is from Louie’s Back to the basics video. I own a copy on vhs. That’s how the camera work came about. Pretty clever actually!

Yes, it was shot at Astroworld's Southern Star Amphitheater. One of the best places in Houston to see a concert at the time. I saw Debbie Gibson there in 1988.
Bob wears scrubs. John wears mom shorts. Louie wears the most delightful smile. I love thisband and I miss those days. Cannot wait until Heaven.

My whole life they have been going and to some degree they still are, God has blessed with Biblically based music through Petra's ministry and I'm proud to say that I've learned a lot of the Bible from Petra music. By listening to the lyrics and reading the referenced scriptures from the album liners for each song I am able to recount a song/verse for almost everything I've encountered through my life

This looks like Starwood Amphitheater in Nashville, TN. If so, I was at this show in early Sept 1990. I had just become a Christian the month before and it was my first Christian show. Beyond Belief was my first CD I ever bought as a new follower of Jesus. Still love it! Does anyone know where this was taken?

There was no Larry in Petra. The keyboardist was John Lowry, not Larry.
Wow....1st christian music was introduced back in Russia, after iron curtain fall. Interesting Its like 1990 something? And drummer plays DW....and now im drummer myself. Wow all these songs i remember learning on drums))) What a long way..God bless them!

Am not a fan of Ronnie's style of playing. I've tried so hard but I just can't appreciate.
I love Petra sooo much in everything else but I just love Whiteheart's Anthony Sallee's bass style better.
