Lenore seems pretty capable of fighting, I'm confused why she's suddenly a damsel in distress in Season 4 when cornered and held captive by the two Forgemasters.
You must remember that Hector was exhausted, hurt and unarmed, and still would be capable of destroying Lenore's neck, season 4 Hector was not only armed with his forgemaster hammer, but had time to prepare for any fight and play around the binding ring.
Well when you're stuck in a magic cage, she couldn't do anything to fight Hector

She's not. Just because she kicked around a weak man in a cell doesn't mean she's a fighter. The only true fighter is Striga, and to some extent Carmilla.

Carmilla was such a beast. I can only imagine the sheer power she would have had if she unlived to be as old as Dracula
she is not even comparable to Dracula :D but I have a soft spot for the character, I love her design
I never played Castlevania, but I really like this animation. Alucard is definitely my favorite character and I hope to find out more about what happened to him next season.

Dracula's rampage on that town was one of the best highlights of season 2! That soundtrack still gives me chills.
he was such a gentleman...he even let women and children leave :) I dont see Dracula as being that evil, I even found myself rooting for him more than the actual heroes :D I guess I have pessimistic view of humanity aswell...we only know how to screw things up, humans dont care about their race,nature or animals, we take natural resources and make things from it just to make our lives more comfortable...we only take,take,take ...we literally invented the nuclear bomb...there isnt nothing more even to say :D I also think that humans dont deserve this planet at all

@@ZackTanTYZ For like a few episodes. The entire season was mostly dedicated to Trevor and Sypha messing around in a village and Isaac whooping ass. The Carmilla stuff took the least amount if time in the entire season besides the Alucard stuff.

If they brought Simon in, they'd have to use that portal they teased at the end of last season in some way, but they don't seem to have any interest in mucking up the timeline. Simon won't happen unless they do a generational time skip to all new characters.

Lenore's arguably as cunning and malicious as Carmilla. I'd be surprised if she got a redemption.

Hector desperately needs one if he's ever going to resemble his video game counterpart: the protagonist of his own game who tried to stop Isaac from bringing back Dracula and ended up apparently (I say "apparently" because haven't played the games) was one of very few 'ordinary' humans to defeat Dracula without the help of a Belmont.
@@matthewmuir8884: I don't particularly worry about Hector needing to resemble his game counterpart - he is a separate character so I'm OK with him having his own original story and portrayal. But I agree that it would be good to see Hector making more decisions on his own and being more proactive. I'd like to see him and Lenore defending and helping each other in that war and hope they'll survive and will get a good story ending.
@@Aiwendil1 I normally wouldn't care much either; I just feel that, when it comes to adaptation, if you're going to change things, make it a change that's at least just as good or plays better to the different strengths of the new medium, and I'm just not sure if that's the case with the show's version of Hector.
For instance, Hector in the games betrayed Dracula for moral reasons: he couldn't keep helping Dracula kill humans, so he left. We see a bit of that in season 2 of the show, with the flashback for Dracula recruiting Hector showing that Hector doesn't think revenge/genocide is the answer, and suggests a culling instead when it's clear that Dracula isn't going to back down about killing humanity. However, he then spends the season being tricked by Carmilla into betraying Dracula, and I just don't think that's as compelling as it would've been if Hector had chosen to betray Dracula for moral reasons like in the games.
Imagine if season 2 was mostly the same, but instead of being tricked by Carmilla, Hector instead reached a point (preferably before/during the big battle) where he had to make a choice: Dracula, or humanity, and he chooses the latter; betraying Dracula's forces before walking away as he can't bring himself to fight his friend. He could then get captured by Carmilla afterwards.

You can do so much with this series. The plot maybe similar but with the exception to Leon you could go through to whole history of the Belmont clan. Honestly Simon is the one we want to see but Richter might be the best!
