Argentine Tegu: Tegu Heating and Lighting Guide

In this video, we discuss the importance and the need for heating and lighting for Tegus! Heat bulbs are very important for Argentine Tegus to increase their body temperature and to digest complex food. We also cover the topic of UVB bulbs and how it is necessary to provide a UVB bulb near the basking spot to prevent MBD and keep your Tegu healthy. We cover ambient temperature and what temps they need on the warm side as well as the cold side. Lastly, we talk about night time bulbs and when are they necessary to use.

would the dual light fixture for basking be too much for a baby tegu if it is the 14 inches from the basking spot? or would it be fine as long as it is not too hot for it
