look, I know Amrabat's been good these past 2 games, but that doesn't change the fact that he's the most error prone player in our team, over the course of the season he's contributed to a lot of our defeats and we've generally looked stronger without him aside from these last 2 games; as for Amad, again he's been good, but it's just been 2 games.
They're both going into good form for this game; but I wouldn't say they automatically start. If Casemiro looks his old self in midfield against Brighton and Rashford comes back hitting the ground running with a goal or 2, they're still 2 of the strongest options in our team and I'd still value their experience going into such a big game

Amrabat hardly played because of injury and everytime he came back into the team, he was not 100% matchfit before he got injured again..these last 2 games shows when he is 100% fit, he is a very good player to have! They have to play when looking at current form, you can't just simply say "if" this and "if" that. Casemiro and Rashford are more of a liability then being the 2 most strongest options in the team at the moment! I believe, even with all the experience, if they keep making mistakes and being a liability, all their experience does not do a damn thing to aid the team! It does more harm then good!

What does the injury crisis have to do with Rooney's assessment of the squad? Some of these questions are so asinine. At least Carl Anka popped up at the end to ask some genuinely interesting football questions.
Amad is levels above antony! He didn't come out of nowhere. He was always there. So was amrabat. They gave the team balance and control.

Really good questions from Carl Anka, I wish he could have even a couple of minutes 1 on 1 to talk tactics with Ten Hag.
One issue with ETH is that I tend to think if everyone's back, he will put Casemiro into midfield but Amrabat has been way better than Casemiro has been all season. Amrabat has given the side more balance and with actual defenders in defence you'd expect that to continue.
Personally think Amad & Amrabat have to start vs City however even with them in there adding balance United will struggle but if he reverts back to Casemiro and Mainoo in midfield it could be embarrassing and I'll feel sorry for Mainoo. Amrabat has left him much less exposed and allowed him to play further up the field where he's clearly more comfortable as an #8 rather than being forced into a single pivot.
Hopefully Eric will stay with the team to finish next season with the proper players and all healthy!
