  • Kitbashing models is probably the most creative part of the wargaming hobby - and it's one of my favorite aspects. I'll talk about how to get started in kitbashing and how to think about going about it - and of course, I'll answer your wargaming and hobby questions. Come have fun!

I believe "Dwarves" plural is Tolkien's innovation. Before him it was dwarfs.

I know you've been looking at your videos volume recently. I wanted to let you know, I've noticed a difference lately where I need to turn up my volume for your videos compared to other content I've been watching, especially when it comes to your commercials.
    Thanks for the great videos

Yeah this was so quiet I had to jack up my volume to hear him clearly, then the next video that played woke up the entire neighborhood, lol

I hear these complaints, but for me it's 100% fine

I love kitbashing. Been doing a ton for The Doomed. I've been using a combination of Reaper Miniatures minis, Stargrave, Frostgrave, Wargames Atlantic, GW, and whatever oddball stuff I have from the local dollar stores. Terrain building works the same way as kitbashing. Everything looks like different colored crap until you slap some primer on, then suddenly your odd assortment of glued together junk looks like a ruined post-apocalyptic outpost, colony building, or bunker.

Too late for the chat - FYI: Arty Conliffe's Spearhead is from '95 and still popular with WWII historical wargamers. So not surprising you wouldn't have heard of it if you're not into WWII microarmour games.

The most kit bashing I have done was weapon swapping. The hardest ones were the old GW metal inquisitors.

Timely topic for me. My project today is a squad of 10 Cobra Vipers. I got the heads of ETSY. The bodies are Ooh Rah minis from Wargames Atlantic. The bases are GW Sector Imperialis. I have no purpose beyond nostalgia for these figures. I am using Contrast paints for the high saturation to get that cartoon feel. I am using them as a break from 40K.
