Hey CyberHeroes! What certifications have you tried and what was the outcome?
Hey Boyd I am planning on taking a career path into ethical hacking can you please suggest a roadmap for me?
Hey Boyd! I just got my Qualys Certification today. Took your Vulnerability Management too. Any suggestions?
Got the ITF+ and the A+ and is currently training for the Net+. Probably might study for Qualys
To get my qualys certification
I'm currently working on CCNA....interested in your program though
Times are really tough. Thank you for the content. I have zero experience in cyber security and tech. But considering switching careers after hearing all your advice.
Thanks for the info!
There are two kinds of skills and talent: those that are tangibles and those that are intangibles. Intangibles ate skills that are developed from experience and character and like the video suits, understanding the bigger picture, the long scheme of things. The why behind the what and how. Things they can't train. You either got it or your don't. Same with skills that head coaches and general managers look for at the NFL combine and senior bowls or through summer camp or things like that. They look for things above and beyond just the physical traits and knowledge. But attitude and maturity and wisdom separates the regular ordinary and extraordinary
I can't wait for this
Hey Boyd thankyou for this info. But I'm trying to get started and I'm having trouble getting started .
Thanks for your videos. I've been in IT for 10 years, now I'm making the transition to GRC with a goal of PCI-DSS compliance.
I’m making a similar pivot. Wishing you all the best on your journey.
@@Sci-Fi_Fan296 thank you, and you as well.
Nice upgrade to the office. 🎉🎉
Thanks!
I just admire your honesty and expertise. You are a great mind. looking forward to start my Certification and Transition journey. Great mentor.
Thank you!
I can relate, Bud. After falling very ill, I've literally been fighting to stay alive. Medical bills add up. What you're offering here is my last-ditch effort to fight my symptoms and stay alive!
I am here to help. Praying for you, my friend.
I’m not looking for a job today, but rather internships. And I have run into this problem so many times. It’s why this summer I’ve been on a massive grind to get as many certifications as possible. Yes, you’re so right that you need to know the why and not just the how. You’re giving out great advice, and thanks for all the information.
Going through VMDR now... this was def real and I had the thought earlier. I am learning all aspects, but I'd only be hired to do one job... or so they thought lol
Thank for commenting.
Was been supposed to had done this. Will get this done ASAP.
🔥
Actually I misunderstood this. Post. I was talking about getting the Qualys cert. The focus here was on seeing the big picture and creating systems. And knowing what the company values.
Absolutely I can relate to this!!!!
Thanks for listening!
I started with ISC2 and i failed teh exam , still gathering funds to re-write because its $299.00 re-write...I feel a it discouraged but I wont give up
This was solid especially the point of a company’s expectations for $100k+ jobs.
Thanks.
You worked for Tyler, are they a good company to start with in security. I have a ton of experience with their judicial software solutions
You aren’t the only that is going through these frustrations.
I feel you, bro.
Real ones know this is a re-drop of some older videos put together. We on it Brother Boyd💯 anybody reading this comment he breaks down in more detail how to access the training through Qualys if you look for his free certification videos. God Bless
Thanks for commenting.
if i can subscribe to you again, i can do it a million times you re the BEST thank you
I can relate, so what you’re saying hard times for a single mom
💯
Great and informative video! 😅 I was getting certifications but also did not understand the "why" for the subject. Thankful for mentors like you, Boyd. Keep up the great work.

Hey Boss ,
I did it and passed the exam, even the PCI and EDR one, but I'm still not getting even an interview.
I suspect that my resume is not properly done.
Could you help out please??
Nope he doesn’t care money scheme
I have received numerous certificates within companies that are only good within the company 😅
That's the case most of the time.
If I get the certification in 24 hours how long should it take for me to understand and land a job?
I will like to join your class for the scanner training
Let's go!
yep feeling that frustration, Bachelor, CompTia trifecta, Restaurant/Banking 10+ years and currently work at a FinTech for 2+ years, , and Live in NY Metro area, couldn't get an entry level Cybersecurity position anywhere
You can do this! I believe in you.
I think im going to dive into the field, im going to stop being scared and just do it
You can do it!
Same here Boyd, I have 12 years in IT, an associate degree, and a technical diploma. I still don't get the job
Hoping you find one soon! I'm rooting for you.

Thanks for stopping by.
11/2023 I studied and got my Qualys Policy Compliance Certification for free! Thanks to Boyd! I'm studying PCI DSS now and working towards Security +
👊🏾
That’s great!! Is there anyway you can drop that link 🔗 to that Qualys training and how much is the cost?
@@jaimcgee4566 The reference Boyd made in the video shows you the video to look at. Boyd tells you all the steps in that video and you'll have it within 7 days
Qualys is confusing to navigate its training honestly I was doing it but it is buggy, do you have suggestion
Can you elaborate, What’s confusing about it?
Hi Im from the Philippines, Can I also access the Qualys certification? Thank you!
I’m not sure.
Is it possible to get remote jobs in cybersecurity if im in Africa?
Yes, it is.
Hey homie what country are you at?
I've reached out to you at your office and have spoken with a young lady couple months ago for a teaching contract but no one contacted me i left a message on your VP voice-mail it was about 2 months ago
Teaching contract?
What if you are not an IT professional?
You can do it with the program I offer.
was there with you making 50k working in a NOC
🔥
where and how can I get the certification of Vul mngmnt please let me know
Hey there! Thanks for asking! Feel free to visit my website for more info.
Could you be a felony and still get into cyber security
Hey there, appreciate your honestly upfront! This is a great question and one I've seen many folks have. The truth is, the cyber world, like most industries, can be tough but welcoming at the same time. Indeed, a past felony can make it more challenging, but it doesn't necessarily close all doors.
I can tell you from my own experience - regular guy, without any high profile degree - that what counts most of all is your skill, dedication, and ability to learn and adapt. Show everyone that you have turned a corner and are trying to make a significant positive impact. Learn to operate within the regulatory boundaries, even when things get really, really tough.
This road might ask you to start from basics, maybe in a lower position at first, build up some trust and respect, and then step up the ladder. But remember what your end goal is: learning valuable skills, not just passing exams.
By the way, have you decided which aspect of cybersecurity is catching your interest the most? Network Security, Data Protection, or something else?
I like this guy my motivation
👊🏾
Do you recommend your academy for complete beginners? If the training academy is on the same level ad this 6-minute marketing add/video, it has to be very good.
Of course!
Now they're saying no one is hiring for entry level anything Tech
Who is they?

Please can a complete beginner join your training please?
The program I offer is good for everyone who is interested.
Can I ask you if you have to travel a lot with that job, or can most of it be remote work?
You can do it remotely.
