In moments like these I really feel bad IRyS debuted as a solo project. She does collab quite often at least, but not having gen mates just isn't quite the same. I'd love to see her in a themed unit. Like others here have suggested, an angel/demon group maybe? IRys, Towa, Kanata, Ayame and Chocco? I'd be down for that.
Would also be great because like Choco would definitely profit from having the spotlight on her once aagain
Yeah, having a solo member wasn’t that great of a move. Maybe that’s the reason why they said they wouldn’t have gens in EN, but just saying it isn’t enough. Hopefully in the future there’ll be less of a division and she’ll have some genmate-like bonds with the others.

In a way, she IS technically the sort of metaphorical bridge between Myth and Council, being both a mythical being and an avatar of a concept, she fits in perfectly with EN in its entirety

Comes with upsides and downsides, the initial sub-boost was very high because interest wasn't split with others, but i guess it does feel a little lonely. She really needs to do more song collabs with others get her name out there more.

If you only did those that primarily focused on singing... then it could be Sora + Azuki + Suisei + Irys. Though beyond Sora and Azuki who do a lot of back to back concerts and Suisei who does various music special broadcasts it gets blurrier what separates the singer centric girls and the ones that do other activities as well. vSinger was more focused as a concept in the past it seems.
A lot of people mentioned the angel/devil themes which would have been Choco, Towa, Kanata, and Irys. +/- the god Matsuri if you wanted to complete Exodia.
There's also Ayame the Oni or Watame the sheep if you wanted to go by horns as a metric. Ceres is also a kirin (?) nature representative (?) so she also has horns (? antlers?).
At the end, it's all about chemistry and chat lore quirks that develop over time. Subaru wasn't always a duck. For all we know Irys might turn into Santa Claus herself. Which would explain why she never got presents in the past.
IRyS Towa and Kanata would make a great unit they've all got great voices, just imagining a song with them together would be EPIC

Imagine if IRyS came up with something to work on and just started reaching out to whomever in Hololive. There's a lot of untapped potential there. But I imagine being just about everyone's kouhai as well as the separation (even just the physical separation) that comes with being somewhere in the EN region are a little in the way.
