@@timemachine1421 I'm honestly glad to say that's where I'm better at, but dw, not everyone with a licence remembers to do them but if you make it a habit while learning it can become easier and second nature to you

I wish, I watched this video befor my last exam bec on my exam I only had 2 minotlr and one serious fault and this was observation😢 I thought I observed every point properly but this was not enough for examiner. This will help for the upcoming exam, i hope 🤞thank you

After getting my driver's license, i accidentally broke the side mirror of my car hit the wall while trying to reverse out the gate..
Mistake i made is i was only paying attention to the side mirrors so as soon the cars rear end went through, i didn't create enough space for the side mirror... Thats where looking over your shoulder really helps... 👏👏👏
Can you do a video on reverse park where your in the centre and reverse 3 car spaces back that’s the way iv been learning and would love to see it done someone else doing it
What’s the use of checking at the blind spot if it is already included in the mirror? I don’t understand the use of that when there’s a mirror really . Please help me understand

Passed my test yesterday with 2 minors these videos really helped 😁 however one of my faults was just because I re adjusted my reverse bay park even tho I carried out good observations? I didn't know they could give you a fault just for adjusting what do you guys think?
I feel like these days they will fail or mark you down on anything
@@ElleAngeles Ye out of the million mock and real tests I watched I hadn't seen anyone get marked down for that, it don't matter to me it's just incase anyone taking their test gets caught out with it, and my examiner was nice so that helped the nerves 😂

@@przemekczuj2285 just once, I reversed in and wasn't quite happy with it so I went forward steering slightly then reversed again to finish, examiners words were "because it wasn't in 1 smooth movement" and on her iPad it was marked as 'control'

Essential to pass the test maybe but you don't need to observe around that much, situations don't change that fast unless the carpark is heaving and it would have to be really heaving to have to rubber neck like that.

Shocking this been driving 12 years in Europe and 3 years in UK. Been spinning my head all over the place when reversing still not good enough. Fed up with this country whenever I go or do just constantly unlucky

I got told you can fail for looking left to right then left when moving off parked on the right side of the road rather than looking right to left.
Will you fail if you don't have two hands on the steering wheel? I naturally use one hand to drive due to bad habits with tractors but I feel as if I have more control when I use one hand rather than the push pull technique ESPECIALLY when reversing, I would just put one arm behind, one hand on the steering wheel and look out the back window and mirrors.
Nobody does this in everyday driving as much as he is

I’m really confused now😩 my driving instructor said I can’t use my side mirrors to help me unless I stop the car check my side mirrors then proceed to reverse by looking behind me I’ve met left shoulder at all times😩

Why do you have to watch through rear window turning your head fully? In my viewing RVM + Side Mirror + Side checks should be good enough.

Them many checks mean you aren't absorbing what was there one second before.. things don't change that quick... Bit more realistic checks really.

i find it hard to turn my head all the way to see the back window, i mean I'm not an owl, my head can't do a 360 lol.
UK is making mules not drivers. Basically you have to act like you have no mirrors at all. The views easily and always available in the mirrors have to be done like you would do in something with no mirrors at all. In this era of cameras and sensors and all that stuff, yes you have to become an owl. The question is, when the front of the car swings out, and you are checking blind spot and something comesfrom that side...how looking at it is going to save you..since you are wasting time and going way too slow to avoid something hitting into you. But thats all the drama you have to do on your test day.

Just adjust your mirrors properly you won't need to check your "blind spot". Cars don't have blind spots, vans and vehicles where these is a boarded up part have blind spots. You can get things on your mirrors that extend how wide you can see through them but this whole looking over your shoulder really isn't necessary
You'll fail your test, they want you to check your blind spot regardless.
It's more to tick the box so you can pass. I've found reversing into a space i use my mirrors 90% of the time. Never had an incident, i check out of the back window once maybe twice depending how busy the area is, the 3 mirrors cover everything.
@@red2 Of course yes you need to on your test, it's just not something you ever need to do once you've passed. Not quite sure why they add it in, seems pretty pointless to me. It's all personal choice at the end of the day but just doesn't seem necessary
My man is full of bs, turns around like he is going to get jumped, by the time i reverse i ll be too dizzy to actually move off..you just too much bro, use your mirrors and check the blind spot.. no need for all that head movement.. + at the end, the back of the car is near the wall and you still turning around multiple times for what? A cyclist going to spawn out of nowhere in those 1m between the car and the wall?
Test requirements suggest that you must look all around by turning your head and mirrors even if the car park is completely empty. You need to demonstrate 360° observations
