Love this celebration of life! Working in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, I've witnessed many customs and traditions. I'm reminded of a family who lost their beautiful girl just a few days after birth. They celebrated her short life in that small hospital room with prayer , music, and dancing. The baby was dressed beautifully. Some families complained about noise...It was unfortunate that even though we live in such a culturally diverse community(the demographics our hospital serves), and that some folks couldnt be open to different customs. I was moved, just as I am by this video.

It a healing process where you celebrate the person life not his death because you do not know them in their death moment. Celebration is a healing process and a rejoicing opportunity..

I would like to know why do people dance at many African funerals. It is a home going for sure this person is going to meet her maker, but why dance why not pray for her .
