I had heard mostly that fallout 5 was expected around 2029ish and I believe it’s already in production. I would prefer a spin off personally, especially by obsidian. Imo New Orleans is the best spot

I bet you bethesda is now scrambling to get a FO related release (or at the least an official announcement of a soon to be released FO game - for the holiday season of 25) by the amazons shows season two drop (mid 2025). Now that they know they have this huge amount of interest to capitalize on, it would be utterly retarded and mismanagement to just ignore the profit potential and do nothing differently. They didnt see the amount of love for the show coming, so didnt really change initial project projections - assuming the 'next gen' patch and creation club content would be enough, but they were clearly way off the mark. A lot of the shake up between microsoft and bethesda since the show launch also hints that they are cutting out lesser popular titles to work on the logistics regarding moving people/teams around, to assist in pumping out either FO5 or at the least a FO3/new vegas remasters, or even some other FO related title. I dont see them outsourcing the entire title again though, if anything they may work WITH obsidian. I just dont see them handing over the keys during this critical time for the IP.

i don’t get the argument that fallout 5 would be coming in 2033, like do you think they’d wait 9 years to capitalize on the success of the show
They should make a follow up using fallout 4s graphics, like how they did with New Vegas (mind you that new Vegas was made in 18 months)

76 is actually pretty great now. I pre orderd it and hated it back then. Didnt touch it again for years. but they really have turned it around and made it what it should have been, which is more than most other studios would have done.

Even if 76 plays well, it’s still not a fallout game, not even fallout 4 is remotely a fallout game, I don’t care how good the gun play is. This is not COD with RPG elements. Fallout 3 was at least trying to imitate the original rpg experience, and NV is the representation of that in 3D. Fallout was created to offer CRPG (pen and paper dnd) experience, which was what the classics were about. I hate that it turned into a shit show that fallout 4 and 76 are now, and people who are playing it because they like shooting, not crpg.
