- Today I sit down with the very amazing Noah Cyrus. Noah is a Grammy award-nominee, multi platinum, Nashville-born and Los Angeles-based singer and songwriter. Emerging in 2016 at the age of 16, she immediately captivated audiences with platinum singles "Make Me (Cry)" and Again. Noah teamed up with PJ Harding for the People Don't Change EP in 2021. Along the way, she performed at Coachella twice, while Billboard named her among its "21 Under 21" for three straight years. She also shined on The Late Late Show with James Corden, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Ellen, and The Today Show. Now, she introduces the next chapter with the "I Burned LA Down".
Noah shares to us a vulnerable side of her and how music has helped her heal from her past. Growing up she mentioned that self-love and self-acceptance was something that she never really practiced and is still a difficult thing to do at the present but she is a work in progress and even though life is full of ups and downs, she is moving forward. We also exchanged our thoughts on why change is inevitable for people and how we can be comfortable with it. Noah herself experienced a life changing experience and I am so honored to hear her story.
What We Discuss:
00:00:00 Intro
00:03:53 “I just wish the days are longer”
00:07:02 Healing our inner child
00:10:23 Self-acceptance and self-love
00:13:57 Healing through music
00:19:03 Falling out of love
00:23:27 Do people change?
00:28:23 Life changing experience
00:34:11 Worshiping other people
00:38:53 “I can” mentality
00:42:40 Noah on Many Sides To Us
As a person who has issues with vulnerability Noah is so inspiring and her music has always felt like a safe space to feel
she is so gorgeous. everything she been through, and the way she found her most unique self gives me goosebumps. would love to meet her one day

He told me loves your song July 💜
I literally cried watching this. I love this girl, she is me and I feel her. She is honestly someone so special
I totally feel her!! She got used to people telling her what to think, do or feel at such a young age because of her fame and career, like her team and even the public/social media, that after a long time, she almost forgot how to ask for what she truly needs. I feel so much for her, as an only child I can relate to this. Becoming self sustaining can be a learning curve, but she will get there little by little.
Noah's growth is so inspiring.
His eyes speak volumes…( not just color) his voice is angelic.. and soothing ❤
started tearing up when she brought up "stand still", she is so sincere and beautiful
I think she found herself back in a positive way and that’s a very good thing . Other than that, at her age and she knew alot about life because she experienced it . She is genuinely such a beautiful soul ❤
Tell me plz
Wow. When he says-confident people rarely feel confident.
Thats a game changer right there... Cause every time you want to do something completely new, you are scared sh*tless, but people stand on the outside and see the bravery. You cant sit around waiting to feel confident enough, it will never happen. If you want to extend your comfort zone, you have to accept that there is fear involved!
I'm so proud of Noah it's so hard to work on your mental health and your sobriety at the same time she's amazing you go girl!!
This! 🙌🏻 Just saw Noah perform in Columbus, Ohio and was blown away. I’m obsessed. She understood her assignment. 😂
I have always been a Fan of Noahs Music but this Podcast has made me have much more respect for her .... Beautiful within and Outward ... Very Inspiring ... Thanks Jay for this episode ❤
Thank you for having such a beautiful soul on your show. I've never looked into Noah or her music but hearing her talk as I'm doing laundry I think, "theres another human being going through the same thoughts and emotions I experience on a daily basis" which is so comforting and empowering. Thank you for this platform, Jay, and thank you, Noah, for sharing your vulnerability. ❤
You have to listen to her debut album The Hardest Part that just came out, it's incredible
Great episode, realized I needed to heal my inner child after feeling like I had nothing left. Our healing journeys aren't linear but we are all learning lessons. Lessons we feel like we don't need but to find yourself you need that lesson.
I love how open she was I related so hard with the struggle on doubting myself heavily and not believing in myself and I love how she described progess as in a circle it can go up and down and that really helped me see that it’s okay to have my moments of feeling down and not beat up on myself about it that it’s valid for me to feel down thank you Noah for sharing your story and for being so open I really loved this episode it was so helpful for me rn at a time where I’m going through growth and change and just needed to hear that there’s others out there Ofcourse who experience feeling doubt towards themselves too and that I’m not alone in this ❤
She’s amazing! Love her and love her new and debut album The Hardest Part ❤
Being a fan of Noah since 5/6 years ago - now that listening herself to reveal about what was happening for the past years, it really connected the dots in my mind and makes me be able to relate to her even more
I personaly experienced some very very dark and down moments in the last few years and I was very close to the edge of making some bad decisions - I’ve been openly sharing my experience with people right now because I hope that my sharing could make people understand that whatever is happening to them, they are definately not alone, and there will always be a turning point
THIS LOOK! this look Is everything on her 😍 🙌🏻!
Noah is so relatable! I love how down to earth she is!
Love Noah and her energy so much. She has been through a lot at such a young age 🌹🌹 so much love and respect for her!
There is always something insightful and exciting to uncover on this channel. This podcast episode has inspired me greatly. Jay, I am looking forward to all of the upcoming Podcast episodes and am eager to learn so much from you. The wisdom you share with the world is greatly appreciated. You are the best!
July is one of the most iconic songs

I wanna have a conversation with Noah. She seems so genuine and kind hearted ❤
Omg. When she mentioned dodging therapy but then getting out and sticking with it resonated so much. I have healed my inner child but I continue to understand her more and more each day when I’m in my higher self. On the journey to self love as we speak. Blessings and love.
I will forever be grateful to Jay Shetty's content!!! man it has been teaching me so much about living in present and I am really improving each day. Thank you so much for this.

I was very pleasantly surprised at just how much you enjoy this episode. I was even more surprised how much of her struggles I aso struggled with. Really enjoyed this episode with Noah. Just lovely! ❤
wow! this is my first time watching this channel and i can't tell you how refreshing it is to see a man who is such a good listener 😅 and noah was absolutely wonderful, love to see she's doing well.
I really like her and her music and yeah her personality reflects sincerity.
This was unexpected to see her with Jay this is just beautiful and soothing.
Love for all of you from india. ❤️
Thank you, Jay. Thank you, Noah - for speaking out loud my experience too. Thank you for being “sensitive” and not minimizing your experience as a sensitive person in this world! I believe one day we will realize it is actually a super power. I am so proud of you for being so open, and loving ❤️ Please keep sharing! Thank you!
this is such a wholesome conversation 🤍
Really great conversation! I've been a fan of Noah's music and now I am a fan of her as a person. She is a really insightful, creative, lovely person!
What a beautiful human Noah is ❤ I’m so envious that she’s experiencing this now in her earlier years vs myself who is 34 and is just now practicing the same beliefs and thought process. She will thrive for years to come with this new found energy xoxo
jay's intros are always the best! i love it
I am fan of her that I go through negative think self love ❤️ build confidence
I think it is my favorite conversation of all! Thanks Noah and Jay! 💚
wow so many of the thoughts/concepts that are mentioned in this interview have been on my mind recently, too. feels so connective to hear somebody else talk/think about it :)
Thank you for this, love it, struggle is universal ❤️
I have been listening to Jay's podcasts with celebrities.. but this one hits differently. I can feel her genuinity and her experience that she went through... but some other interview with other celebrities somehow hit differently, feels like they talked about the topic of self love or spirituality as like a trend or something like that, and doesn't feel so genuine.. this one is good. I don't know about Noah very much, but I can feel her energy is sincere 🥰
I wrote the comment above in the midst of watching this interview. Then I continue watching the interview and towards almost the end of the interview when Jay asked Noah the first question about what is the word comes to mind when people first met Noah, and Jay replied "sincere and genuine" and I looked at my comment above.. that's how i feel too about her on this interview.. how coincident 😋
such an insightful conversation. cant believe she’s just 22!
By far my favorite artist right now. What a special treat to get to listen to her speak on these topics. Thank you!
She is a good person and so humble. Thank you Mr. Jay
I love Noah!!! Super talented and I want to give her a hug. I resonated a lot with what she was saying.
Please do a podcast with hitomi mochizuki..
I relate to Noah soo much regarding the Body Dysmorphia.
Such an amazing interview - thank you for sharing!!
Just the vulnerability she’s so amazing ❤
I love the way she articulates her thoughts.

Dziekuje z polski 🔥 mocny przekaz
I like her honest and vulnerable side.I like her song.I am also a sensitive person so I found related feelings with her.
Finally someone I can relate to. I love Noah.
Thank you for sharing this information I don't know when I will get out of it . 😢
on the question of "do people actually change" is an interesting question. sometimes I think people lose who they are at their core, but i think people can find their way back to that when they put in the work
Wonderful episode!! One of my faves so far.
I love Noah so much, she’s such an Angel ❤
Love her honesty and thank you for sharing your struggles ❤
my heart literally breaks when she said that she got bullied by her body.. Like why are some people soo cruel, i really think it's yealousy. Just STOP with the bullsh*t!!! dont pick on someone's appearance, that's so mean! Everybody is beautiful AS IS! 🦋🦋🦋
A good heart always love to follow good knowledgeable people to be blessed in life.
🙌🙌🙌this conversation!!
I hope I get to talk to you one day. I struggle everyday but I’ve been trying to be better. I watch your videos everytime they come out and I’m trying to write notes. I can’t quite put things into my life from them but I hope one day all of this will click and I’ll break free from what I was given and be more than the what’s expected. I love these videos I just don’t know what to do. Thank you so much tho!!
I focus on myself stop negative 💯 think 🤔 💯 focus believe myself
Thank you madam. Thank you sir. Lots of unconditional love, light, respect and gratitude.
I admit that I came to watch this episode with some judgement towards Noah Cyrus. But this truly was a lovely, vulnerable interview. Truly, absolutely everyone hurts in many different ways.
3:56 I love her honesty 🌠🙏
You are amazing people, Noah you are loved and made perfect xo
Thank-you for having the courage to compliment yourself.😮
Great interview. Feeling a lot of geniune energy here.
My favourite speaker Jay genius l love his speech very much
This episode was so incredibly inspiring, need to disappear and journal for a couple hours after this😂
wow, what a Dimond I found today! I mean this artist I never knew, but just opened her music in iTunes, and it's fantastic. And the second thing is this podcast, I never heard about this channel, but so many interesting people are here... nice! On a 24:00 min is strong speech about "people change"
LOVE HER!!! ❤️ AND JAY
Thank you ❤️
Thank you for the honesty and the vulnerability.
Another insightful and inspirational podcast💯 I could relate to almost everything you both shared and there's something Jay said that sparked some curiosity since he didn't delve into it "...I fell in love love with Love..."
I'd like to think that I have a similar mindset to that and you mentioned a bit on how you unlearned that and not worship others...
I'd love some clarity on that as I feel it would be of great help to me!
I'm pretty sure you might have discussed it before so from my side, I'll search for it. I'd appreciate a referral to it😊
I LOVE HER
❤️❤️ more love to such beautiful soul ❤️
Beautiful interview
Thank you, interesting interview.
I find the point about not considering yourself to be a God really interesting. I think we should work toward the idea of being 'Godly' by embodying the messages and sentiments of the various sacred texts, and adopting principles that have remained true throughout millennia. We should absolutely avoid considering ourselves to be actual Gods, however, for that idea can quickly spiral into full blown egotism, narcissism, and arrogance. Very interesting discourse - mad respect to Noah for her honesty and authenticity.
She’s so stunning it’s unreal
I am so thankful for her vulnerability ❤
Love you girl ❤ your beautiful 🤩 thank you Jay love you and your podcast❤
Wow.. wow!!! 💚
Wonderful Noah.
1st Comment 😊
Lots of Love from India
You should have a conversation with Paris Jackson . I think it’d be great.
I cannot wait to talk with both of you
Great podcast. Great interview. Thank you. My only thing is there are way too many adverts.
Can we please have Selena gomez on this show!!!!
Thanks
I love her feminine energy and quality despite the fact she doesn't appear like a textbook description of it.
